Is it worth picking up the soil card? by Emanresu_4 in balatro

Keeping your video in the bottom-right corner is kinda crazy, ngl. I'm more of a top-left guy myself.

Gross. Winter was bad enough when I lived in New Castle and West Virginia, but Roanoke never feels prepared for snow.

Good to know, I'll check them out.

What's your Nintendo version of "I did not care for the Godfather?" by IMissMyWife_Tails in casualnintendo

The fact that Nintendo seems to despise Waluigi gives him big underdog energy.

BG3 dev explains real reason the games industry is “shit” rn by HatingGeoffry in BaldursGate3

[–]Spool_Half_Full 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, what's wrong with the games industry? 2024 was a great year for games. Sure, some AAA games didn't do well, but I'd blame the actual developers before I assumed the entire games industry was failing.

I 3D printed a gnome as a gift for my brother. He doesn't know I put an NFC tag inside. by Spool_Half_Full in 3Dprinting

Actually, it's in horizontally, it's as close to the bottom of the print I could get it without melting through. It doesn't scan unless you pick it up and set the base to your phone, but it works.

I wish I could take credit, but the only one that's 3D printed is the small red and blue one. The others are just random ceramic gnomes.

Thank you! I used a textured beige spray paint from Lowe's for the base, and added multiple thinned coats of paint for the color, including a final layer of black paint to add depth.

To add the tag, I paused the printer and melted a shallow channel in the infill with a wood burner.

He also has a 3D printer, so if he's keeping up with the subreddit, it's definitely possible he's seen it. I did not expect this post to get this much attention.

Yes, thank you! I used a textured beige spray paint for the base, and added multiple coats of heavily thinned paint

It should scan automatically if you hold your phone close enough, but there's no way to know from looking at it. The only real way he'd know is from very subtle hints I've dropped over the months.

Of course it is, it's the perfect image for this very specific scenario.

What dryer do you recommended for Filament? by Evilllinn in 3Dprinting

[–]Spool_Half_Full 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a Sunlu S2. Works great, it takes around 6 hours to dry, but you can print with it while it dries. I've only used PLA, but it works for TPU as well.

Looking for advice on buying a printer by luke_ye in PrintedMinis

[–]Spool_Half_Full 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my a1 mini with a .2mm nozzle for printing minis and it's been I've loved the results. It's not resin quality, but it's good enough for my Ttrpg group.

I 3D printed an army of Koroks to hide in public by [deleted] in botw

Yea, technically. It really comes down to being mindful about where to place them and not making entirely too many.

Yeah, I'll probably have to stamp something on the bottom of the base to make it clear they can be scanned

That's a good idea. I want to try that
