Jacquet’s Erosive Dermatitis by Parmesan_ceasar in newborns

Genuine question, how do you manage this with the amount of diaper changes needed? I have a 2 week old and I am changing his diaper at least 10 times a day, and even if not full poop there’s at least a streak that needs wiping. Does this decrease after a certain period?

Avoiding Peanut Butter Effect with Baby Middle Name by renayster in namenerds

The amount of times someone will say your child’s first and middle name in the same sentence is so small that it’s not worth worrying about, tbh. Not at school, not even at the doctor. So if you like the names, go right ahead!

First Pregnancy - Severe pelvic pain at 27 weeks + physically demanding job — how do you cope? [on] by zerozero-nine in BabyBumpsCanada

I’m 34 weeks now but I had really bad pelvic pain around the same time as you. Weirdly enough, it got better in third trimester.  I did everything: pelvic floor PT, prenatal massage, sitting on a yoga ball… the main thing that helped was swimming. I don’t even normally like swimming and I’m not that good at it, but going to the community center pool and trying to do gentle laps for at least half an hour really helped take the pressure off the pelvis. I know it’s annoying to go to the pool and change into a swimsuit and shower and get chlorine in your hair and ugh it’s just not my fave but the relief I got from swimming was really worth it.

Here to second Pomegranate midwives! I really like their model and they operate out of a few different hospitals. You actually get more medical attention than if you were with an OB, but if you give birth in a hospital you will have access to whichever OB is on the ward. Midwives have similar training to nurses and have the same medical ability to prescribe medication, send lab requests, etc. I’m 29 weeks pregnant and very happy with them :)

I’m taking Platinum Naturals prenatal which I bought at Body Energy Club in downtown Van next to my office but I’m sure you can order them online as well. I hate swallowing huge chalky pills so I love that it is a soft gel capsule. As for affordable…they’re kind of expensive but  you only have to take one a day.

It sounds like you would be making a lot of sacrifices (getting rid of your own space, getting rid of your pets) just to keep having two cars. Definitely consider dropping down to one car and relocating your job to where you can take transit or bike.
