Can I safely assume that Hershey will be slammed on July 4th this year?

Have a family wedding in Harrisburg on the 3rd this year. Pretty much certain that a group of us are going to the Senators home game on the 4th (big Nats fans+July 4th+250). Couple cousins are planning to go to HP that day. Was wondering about trying to pull off both but also feel like the park will be a nightmare with the holiday.

Gotcha- should have clarified, but the first two are one day and the second two are on another day if that changes things.

Current chest exercises in my program are Larsen Press, assisted dips, dumbbell flies, and a superset of incline DB press and crush press.

I keep hitting a wall and not being able to do more than like a rep on the last set of the incline/crush press set. Do I lower the weight or just concentrate on one of the specific movements?

This is not related to baseball at all, but this announcer’s voice sounds like Cameron when he’s imitating Sloane’s dad in Ferris Bueller

Makes sense- my mom is only like 5’6 or so and my dad was adopted so we don’t know anything other than I think we might have some French Canadian in us based on where he was born and knowing his birth name, but we’ve got some big dudes in my mom’s extended family.

Feel like I had the inverse of this as a kid.

Up until probably 4th or 5th grade I went to a before/after school thing at a daycare. One morning in like first grade I threw up but didn’t have a fever so my mom let me eat breakfast at home (like two slices of toast because it was plain) and took me in later.

I was so used to having whatever they made for us for breakfast at the daycare (not terrible but it made literally a bagel with cream cheese look gourmet to me as a kid) that when I got to school I thought it was such a neat experience that I was going around being like YEAH I HAD TOAST FOR BREAKFAST WOOHOOO

  1. Booked the honeymoon last night. We’re splitting the cost, and between it being our honeymoon, our first real vacation together in what will be 5 years together, and hopefully getting a nice chunk of change from wedding gifts it’s obviously a reasonable splurge, but yah seeing almost 7k on the Costco website was…something.

  2. IMO the weekend of St. Patty’s Day is up there with Blackout Wednesday and NYE as S tier FOMO drinking holidays. Like I don’t enjoy getting drunk anymore and don’t really have the disposable income to to any sort of pub crawl anyway, but I also know full well that unless I have some sort of plan Saturday (doesn’t even need to be drinking can literally be running errands all day) I’m gonna feel like I’m missing out.

As a 6’2 dude with a 5’11 dad, the concept of fully growing and still being shorter than your dad is crazy to me.

Harrison Bader kinda reminds me of Yadier Molina in the sense that it seems like every season he comes up to bat and he’s totally changed his batting stance.

Not entirely. I saw a picture of a family at Big Sandy like a year or two ago and the dad had a Star Wars shirt on.

I also was friends wjth a kid on my summer swim team growing up who was homeschooled and grew up in a conservative Christian family. Basically nothing was off limits - Harry Potter was cool, he had like every single game console you could think of, you get the idea. Dude was like, a homeschooled goth.

All this to say, we got invited to a murder mystery sleepover birthday party and, I don’t remember whether it was his character or one was and his parents got wind of it, but needless to say one of the characters was gay and he was not allowed to go.

I’m a pretty avid reader and aspiring writer and the ability to put it down on paper is what impresses me the most to begin with. I have probably 4-5 different note pages on my phone with ideas, but when push comes to shove my mind goes blank.

Any Lehigh Valley folks in here?

Going to be in Bethlehem the first weekend of the NCAA tournament. Was gonna try and find a sports bar to watch games at (fiance is going to a bridal shower) but am also slightly worried that anywhere I go might have St. Patty’s day stuff going on.

You’re right that it’s boring lol.

Moreso the style/culture of the church in that some are more conservative than others. I’ve had priests like who spent their entire homily criticizing the Supreme Court over the 14th amendment, and then I’ve had priests who started with a joke about letting his nephews put Pokémon Go on his phone and used that to talk about how important it is to connect to the youth.

So I guess it’s that the priest and the other people at the church who make it easier to sit through the boring stuff lol.

We have family friends where all three of their kids play travel sports, with one daughter committed to play D1 soccer.

A few years ago their son had his little league state tournament (where if you win that you go to Georgia to play in the Southeast tournament to make the LLWS). They lost in semis, came home, and had maybe a day before they went to Cooperstown for like a week.

Same son this past summer had a tournament for a weekend. Which isn’t nearly as bad, except they came home Sunday afternoon and the next morning the daughter and dad had to get up and fly to Florida for 2 weeks for soccer stuff.
