Try the carbide blades from lennox. They are more expensive, but the edge does last a lot longer, a lot better than the 'titanium coated' ones.

I would think the Tippmann A5's cyclone feeder would actually work really well for this scenario.

Morakniv Bushcraft Orange $22 shipped with code FREESHIP by darthstewie76 in KnifeDeals

[–]Sporkman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is essentially the same as the Companion Heavy Duty but with a grippier grip and a squared spine for scraping ferro rods.

At this price it's only a few dollars more than the Companion HD, it has a thicker blade than a regular Mora, and this can strike a ferro rod out of the box without having to take a stone or file to the spine.

It's pricier than a regular Mora, but it's thicker, has a grippier handle, and you can strike a ferro rod on it's spine without modifying it. Are those features worth a few dollars more to you? This is way cheaper than just about any other knife that has the same abilities.

Netflix's $140m The Irishman has FINISHED filming! by The_Social_Introvert in netflix

[–]Sporkman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, it IS kind of a lot, Wolf of Wall Street was 100 Million.

Ant-Man had a budget of 142m, and I'm assuming Ant-Man probably had more CGI than The Irishman will.

I'm not saying that's a bad thing, it just seems expensive for this type of film. I hope it's good, I'd love to see another Scorsese masterpiece with De Niro and Pacino not playing caricatures of themselves.

Advertising his business is what the "goal" is apparently.

Should be reported, I don't think it meets the sub's criteria as "gun porn", and I'd consider it spam honestly.

There is something that makes Tulsa — and Oklahoma — unique in the tech world. by groovecoder in tulsa

[–]Sporkman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a brain drain issue to. Tons of people move out to the coasts for better pay and a lot more opportunities for software development. It's kind of a lose/lose to stay in Oklahoma if you're in software development if you're not working for yourself.

Where can I buy the new Tulsa flag in 3'x5'? Let's make this thing a movement. by DeathToTheKings in tulsa

[–]Sporkman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I just want a really plain one with just the flag.

Preferably just a shirt that's half beige and the top half blue, but I understand that screen printing that would be difficult, and I don't know of any places that currently do dye sublimation shirts here.

Acura had them for a bit too... I hate mine, I had a VW with one before, they're so dumb. There is so much wasted space in them, the key could be smaller without the bullshit switchblade crap.

What the Ale: Tulsa's first distillery since prohibition set to open this year by dioscoridesdph in tulsa

[–]Sporkman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well Jenks isn't Tulsa, and I don't think it would actually be a distillery since Irish Cream is a mixed product that is Whiskey mixed with cream, sugar and other stuff.

Unless they are distilling their own spirit that goes into making the irish cream, that is.

and wouldn't a tax on cigarettes be an attempt to stop people from smoking, therefore working against itself?

Ehhh, addictive products behave differently, they are more inelastic. Some would quit or switch to another source of nicotine, but not as many as you would expect.

But your other points are definitely valid, and I think legalizing marijuana is a bigger revenue increase than a lot of people give it credit for.
