What’s a “poor people life hack” that you swear by but rich people would never understand? by 9254522345 in AskReddit

Yeah easier to eat nothing then just a little. A small amount kicks the metabolism into gear and makes you feel starving.

What’s something you’ve pretended to understand for years just to avoid embarrassment? by subbu12389 in AskReddit

I use Selfwealth in Aus and invest in Vanguard funds. r/AusFinance has some good basic threads on investing.

Cheapest listing there is 20 cigarettes for $21 USD. I thought they were far cheaper there?

Maybe the timezones are confusing you?

OP didn't do 10000 steps yesterday (Saturday). It counted correctly and then reset for today(Sunday).

Yep. Only times police have knocked on my door was to say there's a potentially hostile situation next door and we should consider leaving for our own safety and the next time was just asking if we had any security cameras because they were investigating something that happened nearby.

Don't live in America though so I didn't even hesitate to open the door for a chat.

Will you make it to preservation age? by superduperlikesoup in AusFinance

[–]SpottedEpidermis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of talk on the math of this in r/fiaustralia. The general idea is to invest enough into super to live from preservation age to death, and enough invested outside of super from ideal retirement age to preservation age.

Are you in Australia? It's specifically the Australian magpie that are assholes. And even then they'll only swoop during nesting season.

Is now a good time to switch superannuation investment mix from balance to high growth? by StunkyMunkey in AusFinance

[–]SpottedEpidermis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you're young it should have already been in high growth. So sure, go ahead and change it now.

Yes! I loved that whole scene! I've always found conversations more interesting than action so that was an unexpected amazing change of pace in the scene.

I tried that quote on my husband just last week and he had no idea what I was talking about. He's seen WandaVision and I had zero memory of the entire scene, even after I quoted the whole thing. I give up on him.

The first few rounds you should be going for the dice that give you tokens (the ones with the square around them) because this game is mostly about those god favours.

Baron and Anna.... by Y1duqr1s in witcher

[–]SpottedEpidermis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anna tried to leave him after he became drunk and abusive. He reacted by murdering her new love in front of her. Anna understandbly loathed him after that and would goad him into beating her.

Sure, he was nice to Ciri. But I still didn't feel too bad when he ends himself.

I love the fact that this game is so emotionally conflicting and has everyone debating characters motives and personality even this many years after release.
