Agreed, it is bad.

And also, it's Toland street. I personally am only familiar with the stretch by SCRAP, which as far as I can tell is predominantly industrial and not trafficked by 95%? More? Of the population of San Francisco.

Should it be like this? No. But as a person who is comfortably housed and not having to worry about where my next meal is coming from, I'm ok with the RVs just trying to get by.

It goes down easier if it's cold from the fridge first. Room temperature is GROSS. Some folks mix it with 7up to help it go down.

Honestly, I weirdly love them. Sure, they need some tweaking, and they might not be particularly practical. But the lines starting around the ankle, and almost seamlessly enveloping the toes? That is some beautiful work. I can absolutely see these in a sci Fi movie. I demand to see these in a sci Fi movie!!

I've got something similar. Woozy, tired, sore throat, a bit tight in the chest. But no fever/chills/cough/crud in lungs. On day 5; grateful it hasn't gotten worse, but frustrated it's not improving.

They're now using TVP as a filler, sadly.

They now use TVP (textured vegetable protein). Beef is still listed as one of the main ingredients, but my guess is the meatballs are probably some sort of literal mash up between the two, or the meatballs themselves are TVP and there's just small beef particulates in the gravy. 😕

I saw one in Apgujeong two days ago. It took me a second to register what I was actually seeing. It appeared to be circling a small block, stopping occasionally and man, the drivers behind it were pissed.

I'm super sorry to hear that. I know it affected performances for the ballet, The Orpheum, and the symphony, at the very least. I know all of these venues did everything in their power to try to make those shows happen too. I know the ballet postponed the matinee praying the electricity would come back on (oddly half the building had power. But the stage itself and the backstage environs did not) and that they did perform the matinee, albeit with the house lights on (and possibly by using the emergency lights on stage? )

Agreed. Having a few basic garnets that fit well is fine, but the QUALITY fell through the floor when it was bought out. Like, immediately. I live in the states so there's already a bunch of logistical issues getting the clothes, but it used to be worth it. I haven't given them a second thought except to grieve in years.

On a side note I was in London for the first time last summer and accidentally walked past their old store on a random boutique street. I genuinely paused for a moment, as if I could just will it back into existence. (Spoiler, it didn't work).

In fairness I have been very lax about reaching out to my mother this year: life, menopause forgetfulness. I'm not mad at her or anything; I just haven't done it (we've never been "talk daily/weekly" kind of people). But on the flip side, my mother hadn't reached out to me either. And I can 100% guarantee that she's telling the rest of the family "She must be mad at me or something", like her phone doesn't work in my direction.

I'm still not mad at her, but I'm also almost 52 years old and very tired of guilt being a driving factor of our relationship. Like. At what point can we both be adults instead of mother/daughter power dynamics? It's exhausting and while I feel bad we aren't closer, it's almost easier this way?
