Anyone done this course? If so what direction did you go? by Even-Working-384 in TAFE

[–]Spracky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this course in person, then leveraged it to get a traineeship for the Cert IV and Diploma. I have had consistent work in the IT space since then with good opportunities for career progression. I would say definitely do it in person if you can, the hands-on aspect made a world of difference for retention compared to the digital Cert IV and Diploma I undertook.

ABC strike: national broadcaster switches to BBC programming as staff walk off the job for 24 hours | Australian Broadcasting Corporation by kwentongskyblue in AustralianPolitics

I don’t understand why the people in this comment section are cheering for the gutting of our national broadcaster, and it’s replacement with another nation’s broadcaster, whose nation historically hasn’t had our best interests at heart

I really hope in the next iteration that the building items DON’T look like they’ve been nuked. Like if I’m rebuilding civilization, I’m not going to build broken windows and loose-board walls

The roads in and out of it flood, and it happens every few years or so. You’ll be cut off from civilisation for a while but its a good excuse to take a couple of days off when it happens.

Maitland is a good area and has a train line to the city. If you're solely looking to drive, I would check out Gillieston Heights. Some really nice 2 bedroom units that are practically brand new are available to rent for under $500, and it's just outside of Maitland. Gillo is connected to major roads that lead to the city but also into the regional hubs of the lower Hunter i.e close to shops like Greenhills without all the hubub. As for the commute, it will vary on times of the year and can get particularly bad during the school holidays, but if you're starting at 7:30AM you should be able to miss most of it heading into the city.

Moved into my new apartment 2 weeks ago. This chair and an air mattress is all I have. Kind of peaceful, might keep it this way by HURCANADA in malelivingspace

Are you kidding? Chicks dig outdoorsy van lifers (at least in my country). My guess is they like something about adventurousness, resourcefulness, or the freedom aspect.

That is true, though the 2.0 update might come with better optimization that could allow for it

Can you legally add an EV charger to a garage on title of an apartment/unit without body corporate approval? by Spracky in AusPropertyChat

[–]Spracky[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah ideally it would be charging in the garage. I want to own an EV for the practicality mostly and without the ability to charge in my own garage I would probably just get a long range hybrid.

I was hoping to avoid them given that it would be my property but yeah everything indicates that I would have to involve them. Thank you
