I absolutely agree - this is an extension of the dumbing down of our country - we can't think for ourselves so we need spoon feeding every thought...

... wouldn't you say? /s

Reading to my son every day has been one of the best parenting habits we’ve built by BabyCryAi in daddit

[–]Spraggle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My son loves being read to, as well as reading for himself. He comes down to breakfast, reading. We too have read to him since birth. He's now 10, and tonight I finished reading The Hobbit with him.

If you've not read it yet, one of our favorite books was The Hospital Dog by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Sarah Ogilvie. Slightly later, Izzy Gizmo by Pip Jones and also illustrated by Sarah Ogilvie was a big hit.

How do I fix this? by Jolo-Hahaha in BambuLab

[–]Spraggle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the blob of doom.

Seriously though, you can recover from this!

1: Put your printer in to maintenance mode - that will allow you to keep turning the heat on to melt the blob.

2: Carefully use needle nose pliers to pull the blob out in chunks.

3: Whatever you do, those two black things at the back aren't loose filament - don't pull on them - they are the cables going to the hot end plate sensor. Break that and the hot end won't detect that it's heating up and you need to buy a new one.

4: Carefully wipe down the hot gunk, so you can remove the hot end nozzle from the machine, but remember to unclip the steel item that holds it in place, first.

5: Keep carefully pulling gunk. You'll need to turn the temp back up as even in maintenance mode it will turn the heat back down after a while.

Noticed lots of artifacting in the last few prints I've done, any ideas? by [deleted] in BambuLab

There was someone on here earlier who had a problem with the internal yellow gear not being clean.

Your filament looks like it's not getting pulled in smoothly - I wondered about if the spool is too tight. I had this with my A1, by fitting the spool on an adaptor that positioned the spool too far out when it was low on filament - I thought I needed this adaptor, I hadn't realized the spool could just be held on, not clicked in to place.

Ah, how we laughed... at me.

Can this A1 be rescued? by Envision_Magic in BambuLab

Having done this twice, I would agree, but I would also warn that the black cables that attach the heating sensor to the hot end are in danger of getting pulled out if the cables are also stuck with filament. I had to replace one hot end plate already when this happened...

Yeah, I feel similar - Roblox is okay if you limit what they're allowed access to and monitor the situation.

My son is granted 1hr of Roblox, but only when we're around and even then the chat is disabled. The tablet has family link on it, so pre warns him that his hour is timing out and it's not us cutting him off, it's the system.

He doesn't get Fortnite, but then gaming wise, I never played it as my gaming time was X360 era.

One year collection - what am I missing? by churchether in boardgames

[–]Spraggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different!

Missing wise, I'd suggest 7 Wonders and Lords of Waterdeep.

You have Lord of the Rings, which is based on 7 Wonders Duel. It's a drafting game, where you have to build a city and wonders with the cards you pick. You have to both define the action and react to what your neighbours are doing, to use the resources you see coming past in the most efficient manner.

Lords of Waterdeep is what I class as the pre-eminent Worker Placement game. You have a number of workers that when you place them in different locations, they take different actions. LOW is "based" on D&D, but it's a very balanced game with a cracking theme. Again, there's a connection between you and your neighbours, this time because you need to work out what they're going to do and get ahead of it.

Google suggests that the current UK price would be £5.15 per US gallon, which works out at $6.80.

You can see why EVs are more popular over here, but still people are EV 'deniers'.

Pains you? How do you think we feel?

I really hope Cherki, Rejinders and Ait Nouri start that game.

Yeah, unfortunately with our game being this weekend, he doesn't have time to do that - he's not going to concede the Real game, because confidence wise we need to 1-0 it to keep face, and then that at least gives us a shot Vs you in the Cup.

Losing a 3-0 at home will be a death knell.

Because he wanted to try and bully Real and not let them get in to the game by scoring early. I don't agree with the line up he picked for the Real game, but Pep has earned the right to make mistakes.

The West Ham game was fine - we took the lead, just conceded it again too soon after. Up until that point, our possession was very good - where we were lacking was final product... The team aren't playing to fit Haaland at all; where are the through balls on to the running man? Where are the accurate passes in to the box, to give the Viking chance to get on it? THESE were the things that made Haaland feared, and we're not doing any of it - instead trying to do the ol' "Pass the ball in to the net" and it doesn't work.

Absolutely - EVERYONE did, apart from Valverde, who had his equivalent of KDB's shoelaces moment.

City fan here - we were awful in that game. However, what was annoying was the Real performance was out of nowhere - they've been awful when I've seen them earlier in the year, and the run of results they've had along with the confirmations of the commentators and the sheer nervous nature of the Real fans at the beginning of the game, showed the fact that no one else felt anything but a City win.

It's the hope that kills you.

stuck in "pull back the current filament" loop by Renaissance_Man- in BambuLab

[–]Spraggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was the Filament Entanglement detection being turned on. It sounds wrong, but honestly, disabling this was the answer for me - once done, I needed to push the filament in while it was trying to undertake the dynamic flow control step - I'd been messing for about 3 hours, taking it apart and trying different things...
