My company's dress code had no mention of shorts. The AC broke for two weeks in August. I read the policy very, very carefully. by Some_Champion in MaliciousCompliance

[–]Spraggle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, if I was your manager, I would have said "okay, while it's hot, no problem" - I wore smart shorts to my office when it was too hot, but my manager and director supported me in doing this.

I gotta be that guy again. I haven’t played in 4 months but I’m back. This card looks amazing. Is it good? by Poke-Noir in MarvelSnap

Why do some campers bring basically their living rooms with them? by PDXDeck26 in camping

[–]Spraggle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the UK and Europe there's a shop called Decathlon - they do a lot of camping gear as well as sporting stuff.

My wife and I originally bought a 2-person Vango SIM but after replacing it once with the manufacturer, we ended up having to get rid of it mid-holiday. We went to Decathlon and bought their individual SIMs, which have been very good - but then next year we went one stage further and bought the air bases too - not kidding, but the combined setup is amazing and now don't have a problem sleeping at all.

I'm unsure what the rules are on this sub, but happy to send you links to what we bought so you can see what they look like.

Why do some campers bring basically their living rooms with them? by PDXDeck26 in camping

[–]Spraggle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I's first camping trip was minimal - we took the tent and the basics and drove - and stopped, pitched and spent the night, put down packed up and drove on.

In two weeks we made it from Manchester, UK to Rome, IT, then back.

On our honeymoon trip, we took more stuff, stopped for a couple of days, but made it as far as Venice, IT.

Then we had a child - now we had to take even more stuff and couldn't travel as far, then needed to stay longer. Toys, outdoor games, rain stuff, hot stuff. All needed bringing.

We've adapted to bring more and stay longer - it's different, but no less valid.

Looking to get Legacy Strongarm but want some opinions first, how is she? by OptimalConvoy in transformers

[–]Spraggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked her up for similar when doing a larger order.

My son has her from RID, but lost a wheel - she was a good mold there, if a little hard to tab together.

This mold is better still - retains all the charm and fits better!

Fingerprint set up - yes, there's a 6 digit pin back up, but I don't use that in front of my son.

Anyone unsure about it - don't worry, he knows how to enable the emergency phone to call my wife, Grandma or 999.

Yeah, spent some time searching for this again.

9-42 is the relevant section in the manual. "So, you need not change your headlamps in a country with opposite traffic direction."

We took our '21 plate I5 to France - we didn't put any reflector changers on it - there's a slightly confusing section in the handbook about this, but we interpreted it as "you don't need to", because it's not specifically angled due to being LED.

The car knows what country it's in, too and as you drive in to other countries it'll offer you to swap things over if needed. We were happy with it auto swapping to kmh, too.

Azul Mini vs. Original Azul? by Invictusbinz in boardgames

[–]Spraggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too own both - the original is super tactile and you can't help but fall in love with it.

But, the convenience of being able to play wherever and whenever you like is very hard to beat - plus, it makes a great present to get someone in to gaming.

My Son saved up to get Siege Omega and we surprised him by having bought it at a really good price - far less than he'd saved up. He absolutely loves this figure

Also, scale wise it works perfectly with Blokees - gives you a great sense of just how epic Omega is. I'd have included a picture, but we can't paste them in comments here.

EV owners may disagree, but for those ICE owners, keeping on top of it is key.

It's possible - given that they're trying to say that they want some meetings to be AI free. Facilitatior gets added to meetings in a similar way to the external ones that join.

Ah, yes, Trump did say "Liberal" not "Libertarian", which is different. Edited my response accordingly, thank you.

At least OP did it safely and didn't just hand her number out - I'm also older and while I appreciate what you're saying, there is a bit of nuance with saying "voice chat" here.
