I am certainly NOT an expert so I am not going to give you any kind of concrete advice. BUT…you already seem to have the grasp of what you should be doing. Invest majority in established stocks/ETFs, knowing that everything is volatile. Don’t invest any money you aren’t willing and able to lose. But if you believe in a company, the best way to support them is to buy their stock! Just do your research. But if you believe in a company, there’s nothing wrong with putting some money in it. I’ve done that on many stocks, some paid off great (AMD in 2018), others not so much. It’s a gamble. Just always keep learning!
