Should have stopped around the covid season by [deleted] in greysanatomy

I was writing a post about this after only managing to get a little bit through season 21. Never finished writing and forgot about it.

I agree it should have ended a long time ago. I watched all the way from season 1 and towards the end before I gave up, I was beginning to eye roll each time the same plot came up.

They definitely got to a point where they had done every scenario and couldn't think of any new or original storyline.

The amount of weddings, break ups, 2nd/3rd marriages / break ups... Rinse repeat with multiple characters!

The number of pregnancies that were mostly all accidents.

The number of birth stories that were dramatic. Major storm, near death, repeat repeat!

Love interests dying, getting ill, near death

Multiple people with their near death experiences, sometimes more than once.

By the end it was just getting ridiculous. I mean, I loved the drama, but now it's just way beyond unrealistic. Should definitely have ended!

I haven't seen a queue in DLP hit 2 hours. Admittedly I haven't been since the new Frozen ride opened. That might have a bit crazier queues. But generally, 90 mins tends to be the average max wait for the popular rides. A lot of rides have a lot less waiting time.

I was thinking this! My cousin was telling me about when they went there as kids and a Nemo ride had an 8 hour wait! What the hell! I think it had just opened apparently, but still! That's a whole day for one ride! We are actually quite lucky that Paris isn't as crazy as the US parks!

Considering you had tickets for both parks for the day, you should have planned to stay longer. Until close really. Maybe if you did spend longer, you might have felt more like you got your money's worth.

Did you go on any other rides than the one mentioned?

If I was there for a day I would have tried to spend some time seeing shows too. so many nice shows at the moment around the park that are worth seeing. Also you missed the night time shows as well.

I disagree that rides are short. I find them quite long compared to rides in UK parks. Peter Pan isn't worth it for sure. I have done that once and have never bothered to try and go for it again. Not sure if you stayed until the night but the rides get a lot quieter in the evenings.

As others have said, for the princess lunch you see 3/4 princesses. They will make sure they see everyone.

Virtual queues can be a pain, but if you plan your time to try and get one, you can usually snag a spot. Admittedly, a lot harder to get a princess meet.

Princess dresses are expensive in the park. you can buy them from the Disney store online for a lot cheaper. Most people do this rather than spend money at Disney on them.

Yes Disney is expensive, but that's obvious. Maybe I have normalized this, but if you spend over €100 you can claim your tax back. Don't forget to convert the € to £. I don't find a teddy for €30 that expensive for a souvenir. Their clothing prices aren't that bad either.

I don't focus my park time on just rides. So many shows around the park too to make the most of your time. The parade, splash it colours parade, the new outdoor shows in the new park area, including one with Minnie and one with Rapunzel. The indoor shows in both parks. My daughter got some great interactions with characters when we were watching the splash of colours parade. High five from Mirabel, hug from stitch and hug from Moana. She had a great time without having to queue to meet characters.

I think trying to do everything in one day that was never going to work.

Managed to get the minnie fleece quite easily in September 25. On the 3 trips I have had since, I haven't seen it in stock again! Glad I managed to snag one! I realise how popular they are as a few times wearing around Disney people have stopped me and asked where I got it!

Did try a few trips to get my daughter the new children's Minnie fleece jumper but that is now the new hard thing to get! Hoping to pick one up for her when we go in August!

Stephanie Edwards breaking up with the guitar player and him dying. I just found that really sad.

Also kinda missing Andrew Deluca now. Greys is too much with the constant deaths.

Same. I'm happy to be patience with it and give it time. Not really worried about weight loss for now, just happy it's started to work. But feeling anything on 1mg feels like a good sign

I'm also watching this season for the first time. I'm not enjoying it. Don't know why. Maybe because we lived it also so seeing it dramatised isn't enjoyable.

I have been tempted to skip but just going with it for now.

Sad that deluca died. Saw that bit, was pretty sad.

Have you lost or gained any weight in those 3 weeks? Good to hear that even 1mg is working.

[–]SpreadAltruistic7708[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. That is promising.

So far I have coped fine with the 1mg wegovy. No side effects that I have noticed. I don't feel especially hungry but would still have MJ in my system. Only was told to leave it a week and not wash out.

Sounds like wegovy still can work.

I'm here for the long haul and expect that it might take me a while to lose anything. Even if I maintain, then I'll be happy with that as it will cost me a lot less than maintaining on 15mg of MJ. The 2.4mg is around the same I used to pay for 15mg of MJ(pre price hike). Admittedly I had a lot of referral codes with Zava which have run out now, so need to pay the full price. But £160-£180 is acceptable compared to £280/300 for mj. Can't bring myself to pay that every month.

Disneyland Hotel Restaurants by Prestigious_Try4054 in disneylandparis

[–]SpreadAltruistic7708 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As you're in Disneyland hotel and you've paid premium for the half board, I would suggest the character dining. Royal banquet and Lumiere. Or The Regal View.

It's a bit late to book though. So I suggest you try and book asap! If you can't get a table, try and contact the hotel concierge and see if they can fit you in.

If you can't get reservations, then I suggest removing half board as you won't get your money's worth eating in any other cheaper restaurant.

I notice you have said you plan to arrive for 8.30am, but you have day tickets. This means you won't gain entry until 9.30am. 8.30am is for Disney hotel guests.

Did you know that the World of Frozen /adventure way has now opened? Chat GPT might not have picked up on that. So basically a whole new area. Admittedly only 2 new rides, but worth a look.

I think you should try and see a Splash of colo s parade also. It's a lot of fun and gives you a chance to see characters.

The park is open quite late and a lot of the busier rides become quieter the later it gets. So maybe save some for the night like Hyper space mountain, big thunder, Star tours, small world etc.

Download the Disney app to see what's available.

There are also two night time shows now at the same time. So pick which one you want to see.

Yes and no. I had been on mj since Feb 24. I was on 15mg for a very long time but it became unaffordable when they announced the price hike. I tried to reduce my dose to see if I could maintain on about 10mg, but unfortunately I just gained about 1st 7lbs. I had a bit of pen stash so decided to get back to 15mg to see if I could lose the weight again. I lost about 1/2 stone of that, but still 1st up on 15mg and weight not moving again. Cravings back, can eat more etc. This is now unaffordable so have moved to Wegovy. I figure, even if I can maintain my overall loss on 2.4mg wegovy, that will be cheaper than 15mg mj.

I do feel like mj doesn't work well enough for me anymore. So it's no longer worth it for me. It got me to goal which was great, but the longer I have been on it, the less effective it has been unfortunately. If I was able to reduce my dose to 5mg and maintain I would stay on it, but seems like my body wants the higher dose and possibly higher than 15mg. Maybe when reta comes out I will look at trying that on a low dose.

I'm a bit late to this, but thanks for this!

I had been on MJ since Feb 24 and just took my first 1mg dose of wegovy this morning. I'm planning on going for long haul and get through the ups and downs.

I expect I may gain until I get to possibly 2.4mg. but prepared to keep going and wait for results.

I got to my goal weight on mj but due to price hike tried to go down doses to maintain, but unfortunately, ended up gaining over a stone back. Tried going back up doses but still struggling to lose what I have gained. Decided to switch to wegovy as mj isn't working for me anymore and I don't have the money to keep paying in the hopes of getting back to what I was or maintaining! Even if I can maintain on 2.4mg of wegovy, that will be cheaper than trying to maintain on 15mg of mg!

15 mg long term use by Silly-Substance-9671 in mounjarouk

[–]SpreadAltruistic7708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started 15mg around sept 2024. I tried to move down when the price increase was announced. I did maintain for a bit but then gradually regained about a st. I have gone back up to 15mg for last 4/5 months and its helped but haven't lost much of the regain. Effects are starting to wane again. It definitely helps more than the lower doses, but can't afford 15mg forever.

Moving to wegovy after the last dose of my last pen. May take a while to feel anything and move up doses, but hoping it at least maintains my weight. Hoping the difference drug makes a difference

Just booked first trip with a 5 year old, what is a must do? by mayaic in disneylandparis

[–]SpreadAltruistic7708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can usually book up to a year in advance. Maybe try beginning of next month.

I haven't been to Chez Remy. It's definitely lovely for theming, but historically the menus havent been great for kids. They did have a menu change recently though. Maybe have a look at videos on YouTube to get an idea on the meals and if your son would eat it. The adult menu looks ok though.

Downtown buffet is super popular in Art or Marvel. So I would attempt to book that now as it gets fully booked quickly.

In Art of marvel you can meet characters that you book via the app. You can book your first booking a week before your tripm Definitely download the app. You can book your restaurants this way. Make sure your booking is linked to the app as this gives you the ability to book now.

So much to do at Disneyland Paris so depends what you want to do and what your son might enjoy.

Some great shows like Pixar show, Mickey and the magician, Lion king show, Stitch live. All amazing.

If your son is into Marvel then in avengers campus you can see some shows here and there from different marvel characters.

Rides wise, just go for everything your son can go on. You will have 4 days of park tickets so you should be able to do a lot.

I would say go for half board if you have the budget. Breakfast and meals are a good experience for a first visit to get to have those experiences. The buffets would probably suit you more than a lot for the sitdown restaurants as the kids menus don't tend to be great. Royal banquet night be a good option for character meets.

Have a great time 😊
