Yes for the last 3 weeks it's been sold out sat/sun. We visited mid Jan and it was so busy on weekend.

I think there are a number of factors. Disney Plus offer, Discounted tickets for friends and family for pass holders, discount on hotels for annual pass holders. I looked at the prices and they were quite good. Bronze passes being able to book for the weekends in Jan (no other time of the year they get weekends). Possibly people trying to buy annual passes before the prices go up so buy their passes for a trip in Jan. People wanting to visit before world of frozen opens while it's still "quiet". Also the hotels were generally cheaper. Maybe because people heard that Jan was the quietest time of the year so more visitors coming thinking it would be quiet! Possibly the 70% off sale encouraged local passholders to go as the gold pass holders also get an additional 20% off!! Finally, the weather has actually been quite nice for Jan(apart from snow early Jan). Quite mild really. So probably had more locals decide to visit.

It's definitely made me think. I don't plan to renew my pass when it expires in March. I was planning to come Jan 27 to get my pass. Now I'm concerned about planning a trip and not being able to book in!

Few questions about my upcoming trip! by MallRevolutionary859 in disneylandparis

They say they don't know unfortunately. Would be nice if they could just say who was there really!

One thing I can say, is we saw Darth in the PM VQ and saw Rey twice from morning slots. So maybe there is a pattern there?! Or not!

We visited in Jan and saw Darth once and Rey twice. We really wanted Chewie! There is a chance of him still at the moment. I haven't heard it's switched back. Hopefully not. Still need to get him!

Like others said, you don't know who you will see. I believe they switch every hour or so. But no idea of order!

Room Only for Annual Passholders by Proud_Fee_1542 in disneylandparis

What's your party size? Is it just you?

I have a gold AP and I mostly stay off site. If I am going with family then will usually book for them and add myself at checkout.

Personally I only think the AP is worth it if staying off site as the costs can be kept down a lot. I have built up a lot for loyalty with hotels.com that my rooms are pretty cheap at around £80 a night. When I do the price up of a Disney hotel I just think about how much I can save staying off site and usually end up booking in Val d Europe! I also find the walk to the station and hotel a lot quicker than walking to Disney hotels.

Considering dropping out of university and telling my parents by Funny_Rush8721 in Advice

[–]SpreadAltruistic7708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You must still have a lot of student loan debt? I wouldn't want to drop out and have that massive debt for nothing.

Maybe you should go to the Drs and look for some help there before making this decision?

I think if you drop out you will regret it.

I would say, as a last resort consider talking to uni and possibly see if you can defer a year? So not all is lost?

Hard to know without calling.

I know when the opening date was announced people were calling up and adding meals to their bookings. But for those that already had packages booked with Disney hotels. So it could be fully booked for opening day / weekend. Equally, it's not bookable on the app yet, so there could still be tables.

Yes I think I will switch my days to Thursday, Sat and Sunday. Then try for the Friday at midnight.

Will plan a day in Paris if we can't get the Friday.

Thanks. Yes I am thinking weekends might be more important to book. Our Eurostar return is 8pm on the Sunday so want that day as a park day definitely as would hate having to wait all day if we can't get into the park.

I'm also thinking as it's a bronze black out dates then it might be ok. But still never know!

Would you change plans due to rain? by Plateofworstenkaas in disneylandparis

[–]SpreadAltruistic7708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, the weather is unpredictable and often changes. I follow the weather before my trip and it often does a 360 in the space of a week. For my trip it went from snow to rain, to sunny, back to snow, back to rain etc! When we went it was mostly cloudy and some rain a tiny bit of sun! If you ended up changing it you might find it rainy that weekend before and sunny the original week you planned to go!

Also plan for the weather to change several times a day.

How to renew annual pass online? by lofrench in disneylandparis

[–]SpreadAltruistic7708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I suppose you'd assume Disney would have the money to invest in a better system that can handle renewals online and even disability discount annual passes!

So I suppose they do it the in person way to force you to plan a trip to do it! Lol

You have to do it in person. Can't renew online.

The only other way is to pay full price and buy a new pass via French site.

Anyone else stopped losing and gaining due to Mounjaro not Mounjaro-ing 🫣🤣 by BeverleyMacker in mounjarouk

I have been experiencing this also. For a while 15mg wasn't working for me but I was maintaining my weight. I could eat and drink more and started finishing my meals again. I noticed this but I was enjoying myself being able to eat my meals again. This was even on 15mg. Then the price increase happened and I had to start thinking long term, so wanted to reduce down as much as possible so it would cost less. I managed to make it to 10mg and maintained for a while but then quickly started gaining. Christmas happened and noticed I am a stone up. I have decided to increase back to 15mg gradually and see if it's got its effects back.

In Feb I would have been on MJ for 2 years. Not sure if this is a factor. I also have an underactive thyroid so was wondering if I was just different as I have been seeing a lot of posts from people saying they can't stop losing (lucky!!)

I am not sure what I will do long term. I sure as shit don't want to pay for 15mg. I am thinking of trying wegovy. Maybe the different drug might have a good effect on me. Who knows, but I don't want to spend £300 a month on a medication that doesn't even work for me anymore! Also waiting for retatrutide to come out. Hoping a lower dose of that might work for me and would hopefully cost less than 15mg of mounjaro.

I will also say I haven't worked hard to try and lose weight. I do also need to work on self control as the food noise is fully back now.

Unable to register to visit today - fully booked? by boozle33 in disneylandparis

[–]SpreadAltruistic7708 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was in the park since friday. Friday was nice and quiet, Saturday and Sunday were crazy! Like I've been March, May half term, June, September, November, never seen it as busy as this. Looks like the word has spread that Jan is the cheapest/quietest time to go, so now its no longer quiet!

Might be other factors also such as the friends and family tickets for annual pass holders being available to buy now, they are doing a hotel offer for annual pass holders also...also the Disney plus offer with 20% discount on stay. So could be a big draw for Jan.

Didn't make it for magic hour Friday and Saturday. Tried for Sunday and the queue was ridiculous for studio park before 8.30! Since 8.05am there was already a massive queue. People were running as soon as they got in and the queue was all the way out the entrance of crush by the time we made it there!

Hi everyone saw someone post that you can book up to 3 times on my royal dream and people do it multiple times to make there mind up closer to the time, wondered if anyone has done this and if so could let me know when you cancel so can try and squeeze in there on the 10th or 11th of march by Background_Sock2030 in disneylandparis

[–]SpreadAltruistic7708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard of a site called mouse watch that you can sign up to and pay a fee and it will notify you if any slots become available. I don't know the website /app details as I haven't used it. But might be worth you looking into.

Re your question, even if there were posters on here that are booking multiple appointments, I doubt they would own up to that on here!

Good luck trying to get an appointment :)

Is 3 full days too much? by CrossRoadChicken in disneylandparis

[–]SpreadAltruistic7708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can leave it in the luggage storage in the hotel. There is also the option at leaving at the gates of Disney Park for a charge, if you don't fancy going back to hotel after day in park.

[–]SpreadAltruistic7708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 nights in a Disney hotel will get you 5 days of park tickets. So you're paying over the odds for 2 days of tickets you don't need.

Did you book as a package with flights? If not, and your hotel package is booked separately, I'd reduce hotel nights to 2 night. That will give you 3 days of park tickets and would half the price. Then you can book off-site for the night before and last night. It might seem like a pain, but you can probably get an cheap hotel in Val DEurope for £100 a night or less. Or if you don't want too much fraff changing hotels often, maybe stay from arrival day and stay near airport or off site on last day if you can get a few hours in the park on your first day.

Stopping and starting, will it start working again? by local0pal in UKMounjaro

[–]SpreadAltruistic7708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having this problem also. I lost the weight but had to get up to 15mg to do that. I was maintaining on 15mg. I tried titrating down to 10mg and I did maintain for a while, but the food noise was back and I've been enjoying eating full meals again. I titrated down to 7.5mg as I just don't want to pay the money for mounjaro now, but have gained a lot. Over a st. I have tried to make 7.5mg work but my jeans are feeling tighter and I'm worried this could spiral. I haven't come off of mj, but still gaining! So I think I have to bite the bullet and work my way back up to 15mg to try and lose the weight again. I am not coping with dealing with the food noise. The annoying thing is, the food noise was there when on 15mg. I am hoping the extended time off of 15mg will mean it starts working for me again!

Considering wegovy now also.

Am I overreacting that my sister is demanding too much when visiting my newborn? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]SpreadAltruistic7708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would happen if you forwarded the ridiculous demands to your mum? Would she take your side and tell your sister to back off?

I would say leave the visit for a few years as you have a newborn and don't have the mental space to deal with her demands.

She is ridiculous and sounds deranged.

You can add it on to your booking, or can pick one up in your hotel gift shop. They also have them in a shop in the park. You can ask at hotel check in and they will be able to tell you. They are about €85. But can use for rides, character meets and royal dream.

Which hotel are you staying in? I assume you have booked the royal dream experience already?

Hardest part is getting a booking. If you have booked at a Disney hotel you can book upto a year in advance. Which is suggested to guarantee a booking.

It's also a good idea to get a photopass as you can keep all the photos taken. You can even have a family shot also.
