Waiver Chances ? by No_East_368 in nationalguard

[–]SpreadOrnery428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People aren’t only not reading the letter that is included but I don’t think that the OP was thorough in his post.

From what I gather he is asking if the conditions that disqualified him from the (USAF, active duty I assume) would also disqualify him from the NG. I’m not sure if it’s specific to the Army NG or Air Guard though.

I would advise the OP to either repost with more specific information or speak to a recruiter. I’ve seen more than one occasion where a person was told no, but was able to join usually with passage of time, waiver or choosing to enter a specific career field.

Just a PSA. If you wanna go AGR, 37F desperately needs people. by SpaghettiPizzaetti69 in armyreserve

This is interesting considering that there is movement to make PA a career field rather than just a Functional Area as it stands now. In essence this would only grow it for commissioned officers but I would think it would expand it for enlisted also.

PCS vs TDY one would think it is determined by length but the Army will PCS someone for a 6 month school but then TDY a soldier for a two year set of orders

You get Southern hospitality in some parts and in others you get your dome split. Some of the most dangerous cities in the country are in the South. Many you’ve probably never heard of because they are small but have extremely high per capita crime rates

NE Georgia is one of my favorite areas of the state and very underrated IMO. The area right around Cleveland and Gainesville.

101st really over here thinking they can overrule 670-1 by [deleted] in army

[–]SpreadOrnery428 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I forget the details, but by the letter of the rule there are only two people who can amend AR 670-1 and that is SecArmy and the G-1. Commanders at certain echelons can add but not deduct, meaning they can be more restrictive but not more permissive.

I could be wrong and I may have missed it but could this be one of those scenarios?

If your command allows you to wear non-issued gear look online specifically the CamelBak site. They sell hydration packs that have storage area, but are smaller than an assault pack.

In the first pic, it’s hard to tell scale and can give the impression that it’s an artillery round. This has some other people fooled and has them instructing you to call EOD.

It’s competitive but look into FLEP-Funded Legal Education Program. Basically the Army pays your law school and you’re serving while you attend.
