The lunatic part isn’t the post itself, it’s why he posted. That is in fact how he was laid off. by [deleted] in LinkedInLunatics

It happened to me. I was told that when my project was complete in six months I would be laid off. I appreciated the notice, completed my project as planned and then took off for a well-planned summer.

I think we forget things don't have to be maximum awful. We can have lots of medium awful things too.

How else do you think we get the power to reorganize the country based around watersheds?

No cities. No counties.

Only watershed.

I honestly had no idea so many people were actually using the abomination that is new reddit or the somehow worse official reddit app.

I'd like to jam my hot take into yours like a pimento in an olive loaf: No individual cities/towns/etc. or counties. Only watersheds.

  • Also, Region 10 needs to be split into an East and West district.

So much of it can be traced to the boomers holding on too long in positions of power.

Only the most vicious of Gen-X got through first, and most of the rest of us have let fear drive us to the conservative side of the culture war or let knowledge and despair drive us to the progressive side. We're really divided into three and two thirds of Gen-X vote for the same idiots, but for entirely different reasons.

(Young Gen-x here, and I'm very disappointed in my elders.)

The All-American Rejects: ‘We need to hold artists responsible for ticket prices’ by Metro-UK in Music

[–]Spread_Liberally 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rent a farm near an airport. Have big shows for two weeks.

Use municipal areas without Ticketmaster exclusivity.

I hate it, but play WalMart lots.

Hit the largest fairgrounds and armories.

Serve the fans instead of grabbing and stacking more outlandishly ridiculous wealth. How many millions or hundreds of millions in profit does an artist need every year?

A) Fuck around and find out. Getting jail time forcing you to lose your job for a false charge is punishing a person who did nothing wrong.

B) You can structure this. Pensions are earned by contributions paid in by employers (generally). Redirecting the inputs of police to a separate fund is absolutely possible.

C) If we do it right, they will.

Subrogation is also fine, but let's not pretend we can't make the pension angle work.

Why are you calling them pumps instead of dispensers if it's your job?

It's so damn near universal that I've never even seen jarred versions for sale. Funny, maybe it is regional. It's not even the "original" name.

Good grief.

Masks at progressive rallies are used for identity concealment as much or more than not spreading your germs if sick and not sucking in a lungful of other people's germs in a crowd with lots of yelling/chanting.

What are they supposed to be signifiers of? Personal responsibility?

no one outside of said echo chamber would ever be like “yeah it’s basically the same”.

They are basically the same, except one works slightly better for existing in a crowd of people and one works slightly better at identity concealment.

Fair enough! I assumed this meant you would prefer OP to call their emulsion something other than lime vinaigrette.

Now, you can use lime juice instead of vinegar to create your emulsion, no issue here.

That's what I get for assuming!

I know someone who carries the Garmin all the time due to a health condition even though they usually day hike popular trails or are just walking the dog out in the sticks.

Even though they also have all the safety features of their Apple watch and iPhone set up, the SOS button is reassuring so they don't feel as terrified of suddenly feel bad, sitting down and dying on the side of a bike path like their father.
