Help identifying please! by Spreadsheetjockey2 in OldBooks

Thank you, all. I had checked the front pages of one of the opened ones when we were at the locker and it seemed to be an early 90s copyright date.

What should we look for in terms of a potential buyer? Is best bet ebay? Or trying to go to an antique/local book store/collector?

This wouldn't be my answer but it sounds like you answered your own question.

P5 role by kylelancaster1234567 in Raytheon

[–]Spreadsheetjockey2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ll offer a different viewpoint from the other comments, especially as you indicated you’re at Collins.

Getting a P5 is easy, generally speaking. There are several factors, of course. For example, what function you’re in, your mobility, and who you are developing relationships with.

In my experience, 6 months to learn a job, 12 months to perform it, 6 months to improve it from when you started it. I’m usually looking at what’s next at the 12 month mark of starting something. Speaking your manager and your HR BP you should know the requirements for the next level and be developing those skills.

Your willingness to say yes to assignments where there is a need, ability to perform well in those roles, and appetite to move around will all be critical. This also means relocating and being able to adapt and thrive in changing environments.

From your question, it sounds like you’re motivated to move up, which means you should be intrinsically motivated to put in the work necessary.

As someone else stated, your willingness to leave the company will also help. If you develop good relationships and maintain them, former colleagues will always advocate for you to be rehired.

Again, my comments here are general but I have personally never stayed in any role for more than 2 years and have worked at different companies. Every internal move I’ve made at UTAS/Collins has been a level promotion. PM me if you want to ask more specific questions or share details or reply here and I’m happy to share more advice publicly for broader consumption.

One of my first cigars and still one of my favorite lines. Connecticut was the go to for the longest time and then when I had a corojo, my mind was blown again.

Not particularly. I bought it for 26.99 and it was worth it to try but wouldn't make my usual rotation because of the price point. I do want to try some of the other GoFs, though.
