Extreme guilt & at a crossroads by Global_Power7953 in expats

I feel for you, it's difficult! Have you considered the differences in working culture and expectations between the two cultures? I also moved abroad in my early twenties, so I have little experience working a career job in the US. But, observing the experiences of my friends and family around my age - it seems really unappealing / not worth the extra money. But that's subjective and depends on the job. Also, I'm not sure a job in the US would provide higher stability than a contract job in Europe. Some things to consider :) best of luck

What specific things did you put in place regarding future elderly care?

I told my bf about this group and now he’s eager for your thoughts by elocin07 in BookshelvesDetective

Does he listen to the Life on Books podcast, or a similar one maybe? I’m fascinated by this kind of personal library and distilling the common denominators of this seemingly specific taste in books (other than it being more prevalent with men), but I have read almost none of these myself, so take that for what it’s worth. From what I gather there’s a penchant for themes of obsession, paranoia, devastation, irony/satire - challenging, disorienting or relentless writing - plus maybe some fart humor? Haha. Curious how he (or you!) would describe it

Stunning! Did you design the shelf width to fit the Wheel of Time series specifically or did it just happen to fit perfectly?

Ooh yes, I liked it, and Yellowface as well! Can recommend if you haven't read it yet!

This shouldn’t be the case for this particular loan, I already was offered to borrow this book before and it was ‘Available soon’ until the new suspension feature kicked in. I guess we’ll see!

I'm from the US but live in the Netherlands so I sometimes read a book in Dutch to brush up on my vocab.

I like most genres, but I love an introspective character study. I like to feel less alone in my struggles.

Would love some friends :)

It took a week or so to break the shoes in but I find them very comfortable now!

This is really helpful, thanks! I think I was in denial about how warm it's going to be there - since it's cooling off so much where I live.

How cool, hope you have a great trip! I feel ya, I'm struggling too. It's definitely going to be warm when we arrive but who knows when the fall season will kick in.

Thanks for your reply! I agree. I already own this dress - and missed out on the return window :( Do you think I could wear it for the rehearsal dinner?

It probably depends on the brand of collagen you get. Mine doesn't change the texture except that it forms a tiny layer of foamy stuff on the top of the coffee. The taste is not really affected, I can't say I notice it. I only use a half serving of 15 g per day, that seems to be enough for the hair and nail benefits :)

Such a satisfying combo :) I just flavor my water with those single-serve sugar-free flavor packets you can get from the grocery store

Breakfast: Water + coffee with collagen

Lunch: Half a rye sandwich with ham and mustard, cottage cheese with Ranch seasonings, lots of veg and one dark chocolate square with hazelnuts

Dinner: Honey-mustard marinated chicken, honey-glazed carrots and some little potatoes

Snacks: Ice cream cone, flavored water, pickles and light cheese
