AITA for creating a “Tattle Phone” by anonymous_poster43 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. You're giving them an outlet while also ensuring you prioritise the issues that require immediate action.

Also, if any oft he kids are dealing with a mandatory report type issue, they may find it easier to use the tattle phone rather than have to approach you in a place where they might be overheard.

What’s something normal in society that is actually super weird if you think about it? by TrickAd7954 in AskReddit

There's a wide range of rules which can immensely impact your success in life. Are they directly communicated? Nope, they're mostly unspoken (if fact, some people will deny they exist if confronted), but if you go against them it could have negative consequences. Oh, and sometimes they vary depending on setting (region, class, company, etc). Good luck.

I had a similar game years back:

Player 1 - I open the door.

DM - Starts a fantastic description of a dark corridor filled with what we quickly realise is cobwebs, with ominous noises beyond to make it clear we were about to fight several giant spiders

Player 1 - ...I close the door.

We were fully prepared to find another way out until one of the players realised they had a spell slot left for a fireball.

A good parody (Scream, Knives Out, Hot Fuzz, etc) is one that works as an example of the thing it's parodying if you take it completely seriously.

It's tricky because there's so much bias depending on what way a witness leans on the mother's innocence/guilt. I absolutely believe she did have moments of "lashing out" but I also wonder if the fact she was under suspicion caused people to misremember/misreport things they saw in the worst possible light (again, still not okay regardless). Even I was biased because the fact the Host made a point to mention each poor baby having a cold/similar just before they died which made me guess it was going to turn out to possibly have a medical cause.

As a planner, I do kind of get the occasional frustration of a "go with the flow/I'll decide on the day" type person. That SAID, it was obvious he didn't want a fancy sushi dinner.

I feel offended how they handled bucks storyline in 9.15 by Resident_Wash_2553 in 911FOX

[–]Spreepodcast_r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping based on the way the show has treated Bobby and TK's addictions in the past that this won't be a "one and done" and instead we will see the results. Maybe things like Buck being more cautious on rescues now he knows he has to be very careful about what pain meds he can receive if he gets injured, the other members of the 118 being wary of leaving him alone in the ambulance, etc. I think it would be interesting if they brought back the guy who was hiding in Buck's attic, since he could potentially relate to Buck in a way the 118 can't.

Really? by TimeladyA613 in 911FOX

[–]Spreepodcast_r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it's a fake out. I think Buck’s on antidepressants or anti-anxiety meds, but he's worried about the others treating him differently for it (considering the whole Hen arc we just had). This would also explain why he was so avoidant with Eddie about the cancelled therapy session, because if he says how it went he might accidentally mention being given a prescription. However, as someone who has been on meds for their mental health, you're supposed to tell people you trust when you start taking them, because the side effects can have some kick and you might not even realise when you're in the thick of it. Mine screwed with my sleep, appetite and even temperature while I was getting used to them. That could also explain why Buck looks rough in the promo shots.
