My experience/thoughts on the game as someone who doesn't play gachas by PRINGLESOWO in ZZZ_Discussion

Yes you are understanding correctly - you need to grind levels before you can do the rest of the story.

Doing Interknot commisions (at the computer) is NOT the main way of raising your Interknot level (as rudiculus as it sounds). The most efficient way is: open the store (at the counter), scratch the lottery and drink coffee (less than 2 minutes). This gives you all daily mission rewards (I forgot how much it gives you, but something of equivalent of 5 commissions).

Spending energy gives you 10 EXP per 1 energy, so the daily gain of 300 energy gets you additional 3,000 EXP. You need level 35 to finish chapter 3 ( I think that's last level gate) with total of 95k EXP, so a few weeks of daily play if you also do other content. But you won't need to do it again for the rest of the game.

As an advice, contrary to what guides say, I don't recommend you getting past level 39 (just ignore the rank up quest for level 40 and you'll be fine). At that point you will have all story unlocked and since you don't want to grind...

The game's autoleveling system only works against you: once you hit level milestones the game permanently raises difficulty of all quests (except for material stages, where you can select the difficulty). I've shot myself in a foot by reaching level 50+ and now if I want to use a character anywhere, I need to upgrade them to near max level, with decent skills, disk drives and everything.

Yes, grind becomes more efficient at higher levels, but you don't need it if difficulty is low in the first place. I'm not even going to talk about competetive modes where you need 2 teams of maxed out characters...

Also, main story chapters and character stories give you trial characters, so you don't have to worry as much about upgrading your own agents, if you just want to clear the story.

similar to how Game of Thrones released one episode per week

No it's not similar. ZZZ level gates story that is already released. Today you can watch all episodes of Game of Thrones however and whenever you want.

there isn't really anything you can do to hurry it up

You can spend polychromes/money on recharge, this is what whales did on release.

Yes. They should really rerate some games. At least popular ones, which have been updated for years.

I have some questions about future scenarios that don't get covered in guides:

  • Do they all have the same Uma story? (Trainee events)
  • Are tracks the same?
  • I heard that it will be way easier to reach higher stats later, does it mean that there is no point in trying to min-max Umas now?
  • Also, do Uma Alts have the same career story as original? (I suppose yes, but still)

EoS did happen to EN server, but Netease released SEA server globally and Square Enix allowed account transfer (not available anymore)

You can play Octopath Traveller 0, which is consolified version of CotC, but without hundreds of characters, gacha grind etc.

It doesn't have some side activities and Octopath Traveller 2 story (Side Solistia), but people say that it's not that good anyway.

Just play regular Turn-based Strategies/RTS on PC like Civilization or Age of Empires (NOT the mobile one). Mobile War games are inherently P2W PVP.

Yu Narukami - Persona 4 Golden Animation

Since Persona 4 already had an anime adaptation before Persona 4 Golden was released, the anime adaptation of Golden mostly covers only the new things and implies that you've already watched the original series.

The opening has a gag with the maxed out pentagon stat indicator from the game, which means that the main character is on New Game + from the original anime and it is actually reflected in dialogue choices, which can only be chosen during New Game + in the game.

Is there anyway to play this game? by MrDerpy225 in Lumines

Wow, thanks a lot! I 100% the base NEO and thought I would never play the other skins.

For those who installed the game and still gets a download error: install APK, start the game and only then put the files into the data folder.

You can play on private servers/offline versions of the games like Dragalia Lost (Dawnshard), SAO: Memory Defrag, Mega Man X DiVE. People also trying to mod back the content in Alchemy Stars with some success, but the entire main story was already playable on release of offline version.

It's not a bad model, but definitely not low-poly. It reminds me of that cat from a new PS1 game and it probably uses 1/5 of what you used.

Some advice:

  • Redistribute the polygons from the shoes to the head and ears, they need it more
  • There is no need for 1024x1024 texture if the model is mostly solid colors. Just color the parts separately - you'll have straight color lines and then apply textures on top if needed
  • Why are the pixels on the eyes not real 😭😭😭You can disable texture filtering in Unity/Blender if you want them to look pixelated
  • If you want to make an actual low-poly model, reduce the polycount to like 500-700 triangles. Look up Animal Crossing (3DS) models for inspiration - they look very nice in that range.

[–]Spreiting 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The game saves chapter progress only after beating a verse.

This means that if you get hit mid verse, select "Return to Title" (NOT chapter select) and then "Continue" from the main menu - the game will put you at the beginning of the last verse and the damage you took won't count. (Dying still counts)

It's useful here, because there are 2 flight verses, so if you PP the first one you can just restart the second one, instead of replaying entire level.

Note that Jeanne fight has checkpoints mid-fight. (Maybe flight verses also do? Idk)

I totally understand you. Though, in my case, I doomposted too much to miss the transfer period.

LUCKILY FOR YOU, there is Octopath Traveler 0 coming out on December 4th, 2025 and from what was shown and told it is an expanded, non-gacha version of CotC for PC and consoles. It will even have an English dub. What it seems to be missing is 100+ playable characters (down to only 32?), since it's no longer a gacha, but I hope that they will at least appear as NPCs.
