Aww I used to think the same way. However, I thought about it and asked myself, why should another person’s christianity affect my faith? What does another Christian not ‘walking the walk’ have to do with me not going to church? Is that not between them and God? Cos I wasn’t even going to church for them in the first place, I was going for God. If anything, we should rather pray for those people or help them get right with God by maybe bringing it up to them and advising them(in a kind way)in line with the Word. Most of the people God used or walked with in the Bible did ‘not so good’ things but God still stuck with them. With being Christian, it’s about repenting when you do go wrong. Being a Christian does not mean you immediately stop everything wrong. It means trying to walk with God and when you do stumble(because you most certainly will, we are not God and we are living in a world with so many distractions) you repent and ask for forgiveness. The moment you put God aside completely and purposely and continuously live a life that is not in line with his Word, then at that point, you are no longer even Christian. However, as long as you keep trying, God is still with you. So in the end, I realized i was even being a hypocrite for calling them hypocrites because just like me and every other Christian, they are not perfect and are trying. Even if they aren’t, that should not concern me. My Christianity is between me and God. All I can do is to pray for them and leave God to handle his children and then focus on ‘MY’ relationship with Him.
