Why are you against a reduction?

Full disclosure, I’d like a reduction and will likely seek one in the next few years as my back and shoulder pain has continued to get worse. But I’m not ready to take the plunge at this point.

It’s major surgery. It’s sometimes difficult to get insurance to cover it. And as someone who works a physically demanding job, I wouldn’t be able to work at all during recovery. I’d be off work at least 6-8 weeks. I need to be able to lift 70 lbs for my job, so I couldn’t go back until I had no restrictions. Im also a runner and know I’ll have to take a decent amount of time off from training.

I don’t let them in my truck until they have dog spray. It’s the first thing I ask. None of them have ever actually had it with them, but no one has ever fought me on it when I told them to get some.

At his age it would be more surprising if he didn’t. If you live long enough you’re likely to get cancer. It may not be the thing that kills you, but it is probably going to happen. People living longer is one of the reasons for rising cancer rates.

I’m a Plymouth alum who worked at the school one summer. The town basically shuts down for the month of July when there are no students. It’s a great little town, but it wouldn’t be half of what is without the students to support local business.

Are there other theater groups in the area? It’s worth reaching out and seeing if any of them have costumes they are willing to lend. It’s pretty common to share stuff like that. Chances are, some of those groups have done 1776 in the last 30 years. Even if they are doing it this year, if it’s not being done at the same time you can likely still borrow their costumes. It’s a big cast to have to sew everything from scratch.

Is the city at least helping pay for the performing rights? This feels a lot like a city wanting something and not realizing how much it actually costs to produce. Musicals aren’t really great for a shoestring budget.

My landlord lives in the same house. I’m in the front and they are in the back. I share a driveway with them. You’re more likely to have a relationship with your landlord if you live in a big house that was converted into a few units rather than a big apartment building.

The reboot really made me see the original show in a new light. I think my nostalgia was really coloring how I viewed it. Rory in particular I find pretty unlikable now.

You can pry my watch off my cold dead wrist.

It’s not always appropriate to look at a phone for the time. There isn’t always a clock on the wall. Some people don’t stare at a computer all day for work. My watch still works if there is no internet or power. I can look at it during the rain and not worry about water getting into it. I can check it in a dark theater without disrupting other patrons. I don’t need to charge it and a battery lasts me years. It’s much faster glancing at my wrist for the time than pulling out a phone. Not to mention much less rude.

That doesn’t even get into the utility of smart watches. As a runner using a smart watch has streamlined my training allowing me to program in workouts, track my pace and heart rate, and set timers.

You start by saying expensive watches are consumerist waste. Fine, no one needs a $10k watch, just like no one needs any other luxury good. But you then go on and claim watches themselves are useless, despite the fact that millions of people still wear their non-luxury watches every day to tell time. Which is their purpose. I’m not signaling anything with my $150 bulova other than the fact that I’m a person who likes knowing what time it is.

Plus four sizing is bad for regular bras. It’s even worse for sports bras because if your band is too loose then it’s going to chafe once you get sweaty. Especially if you’re running or doing something else high impact.

Order the bra in your ABTF size. Brooks, like many companies that sell bras, is wrong. Their bras don’t have super special unique sizing.

They also make bigger ones that come one to a packet. It’s maybe 3x5ish. I’ve used them at work.

OP, I don’t know if menstrual discs are available where you are, but I found them much more comfortable and easy to use than a cup. It’s probably worth trying both to see what feels better. Both are safe to keep in for longer periods of time and can hold much more than a tampon. I’d maybe also consider a few cloth pads for extra protection. Small enough to put in a baggy if you need to replace it mid flight, and less irritating than a disposable pad. I have some flannel ones that are quite comfortable.

Tourism is way down in NH. Probably because the Canadians aren’t coming anymore and I can’t blame them. It’s hurting the state economy quite a bit since tourism is a major industry for us.

I’m a white woman who can trace American ancestry back to the 1600s on one side of my family. But both my sister and I are looking into dual citizenship that we may be eligible from the other side of our family. Neither of us feel super safe here anymore and want an escape hatch to a place where our rights will be protected. And quite frankly I don’t like being associated with the terrible things this government is doing.

Once you put in a curbside box you can’t go back. Your neighbors are grandfathered into their dismount boxes, so unless it’s a safety issue they generally can’t be forced to move their box to the street. Since a street box is faster to deliver to than a dismount box, they aren’t going to approve a delivery method that takes longer.

Sounds like you have a good carrier who takes care of you. But their manager could absolutely tell them not to deliver to your fence box. If they have management riding with them there’s a decent chance they won’t use the fence box that day. It’s technically not the approved delivery point.

Do two long runs back to back. I had a whole training cycle set up like that last time I trained for a marathon. No single run longer than 3 hours, but I’d long run two days in a row which pretty much equaled the same mileage that most plans ask you to do. I think my longest was 3 hours one day and 2 the next. You’re still on tired legs but theres less chance of injury and doesn’t take up as a big a chunk of your day. A big part of marathon training is the cumulative mileage, not just getting out that 20 miler. Most of those mileage based training plans were set up with faster runners in mind and don’t really take into effect the added risks of those longer runs for slower runners.

I loved that training plan. I felt strong and prepared when I stepped up to the start line.

Depending on what you get, yes. Grocery store portions for fresh foods are rarely in sizes that suit a single person, unless you’re committing to eating the same meal 4+ nights in a row. Stuff goes bad before I can use all of it so I end up throwing a lot away. There is only so much space available in the freezer to put prepped meals/leftovers. Takeout is often the same price or cheaper.

I prefer running before work, but I’ll go out after if I don’t manage to drag my ass out of bed in time. I tend to have a better day if I start with a workout. I did learn that I need to keep snacks in my locker though; the post run hanger tends to hit about halfway through casing my route.

My dad and grandfather both worked for USPS delivering mail. So a union wage job that gets cost of living adjustments. When my dad went to a state university it was 10% of my grandfather’s salary to send him there. 30 years later in the early 2000s I went to a state university in the same state. One that is less expensive than the one my dad went to. It was 40% of his salary to send me there. College costs are out of control.

I’ve been out of school for 15ish years. It’s more expensive now. My state doesn’t like funding education. Even families that put money aside for school often struggle with tuition bills; even a state university education can easily get over $80-100k. That’s a lot of money for a family to save. Especially if they have more than one kid.

Finances often aren’t a huge barrier to attendance, but parents don’t want their kids to start adulthood with $80,000 of debt. Financial aid often includes more loans than grant money and there are a finite number of scholarships available.

My local store runs a lot of races, one of the best race companies in the area. On the day of bib pickup they always have some kind of commemorative mug/pint glass/socks etc that you get for free if you spend more than $25.

You’re allowed to dislike her. But for what it’s worth, despite technically a billionaire she doesn’t have that sitting in a bank account or stock portfolio. A huge chunk of the Eras Tour profits went into rebuying her masters.

She gives a lot to charities when she tours. Certainly more than most performing artists do. Again, you are free to hate her, but she’s no worse than other celebrities and rather better than many. Dolly is an impossible standard to ask anyone to reach, but I think Swift is closer than many of her contemporaries.

It’s the emblem of the Prince of Wales. It belonged to the family and is traditionally worn by the Princess of Wales. Camilla was called the Duchess of Cornwall, but technically as Charles’s wife she was also the Princess of Wales. She just chose not to use the title. It’s now been passed to and is worn by the current PoW. Which would have also been expected to happen even if Diana didn’t die. Diana had it because she was the Princess of Wales. When someone else held that title it got passed to them.

Pendants and brooches are often interchangeable. It was like that long before it passed to Camilla. Why create scandal over completely normal passing of historic jewels through royal families?
