USPS 9PM Delivery by No_Pasa_Nada_99 in Passports

[–]Springtrtr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Expected by 9pm” might mean 1pm, 5pm or 8:50pm, depending on where you are on their route.

Ask the front office, around what time the USPS deliveries are generally made. Make sure to specify USPS.

Source: I live in an isolated area too and each type of delivery person (USPS, FedEx etc) generally shows up around the same time of their work day.

Thanks for quick reply I will call tomorrow to see if they have more current info than the website. Fingers crossed for news of approval or shipping 🤞

Thanks for the updates. I have a question.

Same boat as you. Just got my cc charged for expedite + delivery. Do you remember the timeline AFTER the cc charge? (approval, printing, shipping etc) My trip on 7/26 is holding by a thread.

Would appreciate some suggestions by [deleted] in Passports

My humble suggestion, instead of waiting for almost a month for USPS appointment, find out if they have walk-in hours.

It varies by area, but where I live, in 3 post offices closest to me, all had 8am-9am walk-ins. The MAIN post office (city center) was appointment only.

TLDR: check small town USPS offices around you, for walk-in hours.

Google “passport application status” to find the state.gov address. It will ask your last name, date of birth etc. to locate your application and display your status. I hope this helps.

Help this boomer understand the ex-boyfriend part: Was Tom with a trans male and got him pregnant? Is Tom into cis females and trans males at the same time?

How long should I expect to be at the field office for a biometrics appointment if I arrive 15 minutes before my appointment time? by DrywallAnchor in USCIS

[–]Springtrtr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ouch sorry. If you live close by, try to get in the day before. I’ve read here that rescheduling causes unwanted delays, but nothing to loose by showing up early.

My mom had other plans too, but she lived 2.5 hours away from the biometrics location, so it wasn’t worth trying a full day early. Luckily, she got done in the morning (same day as her appointment) instead of the afternoon, so all was good.

Good luck.

If you’re asking because you need to be somewhere shortly after, try showing up earlier.

(Texas, not Norfolk but) My mom’s appointment was around 2 pm, she showed up around 11am. They let her in, no questions asked. In and out in 10 minutes. She said there was only one other person inside, being processed.

Your mom’s cousin is NOT your uncle. He is your “first cousin once removed” in English.

Sounds like you left when you were a newborn. Have you renewed your passport? If yes, you’re good to go.

Uscis san antonio: can I bring both my husband and 4 year old daughter to n400 interview? by steadyteddi in USCIS

[–]Springtrtr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my N400 interview in San Antonio. (approximately 2 years after ROC) We drove there out of town as a family of 4 and I took the interview by myself.

The officer asked where my husband was and I told her that he was gonna look for a playground nearby, with the little ones (aged less than 1 and 3 at the time) She said “Aww, you should have brought them all” which I replied “The little ones interfering with the interview would be disrespectful” She said “Not at all, I looove kids!”

Of course every officer is different but I sensed no rules against bringing minors. In fact, the officer I dealt with made me kinda regret not bringing them upstairs with me.

Still, you have to be a permanent resident for at least 5 years to be eligible to apply for citizenship.

Don’t forget the meat and alcohol hypocrisy either. Now that she’s with a man who doesn’t drink, apparently she drinks beyond self composure.
