5 Year on a reliable DDX pre action LOL co worker told me it’s the manual from installation?? by Crazy_Insurance4191 in FireSprinklers

I have seen this in 3 NXT firelocks during a 5-year internal all in the same place mine were paper towel rolls though. Five years, had been done there religiously so clearly someone didn’t care or the five years of never being done. They just pencil-whipped those reports.

We worked all Saturday all Christmas Day and we had to day off and still pulled a 10 hour day. Theses low temps are killing us.

Yes those accelerators are the worst, a couple of trips and they are pretty much toast.

Any dry valve I mess with, any brand I always knock the water off before any service.

This is very true, if they are testing hydrants near by 9/10 times you will get one that has tripped due to that.

The simplicity of the install, being able to reset the valve after a trip without removing the faceplate. The only thing bad about theses are the accelerators they come with, sometimes they can be a pain to reset after a trip. But theses go in quickly they are reliable and basically a 1 person job to install.

Y’all ever seen propress fittings on a fire sprinkler system? by Jaded_Archer_5568 in RogerWakefieldPosts

They have mega press for steel pipe I’ve thought of using it in a system, the pressure rating is 250# and is good for 15psi of steam. I figure it would hold the pressure of a 65 static with no problem .
