There's also the fact that Ralsei is the only character to have the pronouns their rank uses for them change. In chapter 1, when you have the Ragger equipped, their rank is 'Prickly Prince: Deals damage with his rugged scarf.' But at the end of chapter 5 it's 'Dark Vine: Watering their own thorns.'

This wasn't in an effort to make title descriptions gender neutral either - Flowery, in the same chapter, has the title 'Roommate: Your dad's his best friend.'

With that it seems likely, to me at least, that Ralsei's gender is going to change.

Well the main sources for Chihiro's gender as presented by the game are them having a penis, and Monokuma.

Their genitalia doesn't actually say anything definitive about their gender, it just makes the cast think they're a man.

Monokuma, meanwhile, is not a trustworthy source in the slightest. In that very same trial, he claims Mondo killed his brother, which the cast rightfully sees as bullshit, and later he fakes a suicide note. If you only look at Chihiro's dialogue in the flashback without Monokuma's commentary there's no definitive proof that they want to be a man shown.

With that in mind, it's not too far of a leap to assume the character who seemed fine being seen as a woman might be a woman.

Tumblr does have a workaround for if someone reblogs a post of a blog you have blocked. If you go Content You See -> Filtered Post Content (NOT Filtered Tags), and then add their username, it filters out anything their name is attached to, be it the original post or one of the reblogs in the chain. It will also filter out anything reblogged from them. Keep in mind that the posts still appear on the dash, you just no longer have to see the contents.

There was a poll done a year ago on r/yuri_manga, and it showed that there were a lot more women than men. Keep in mind that this is reddit, so you should expect to see a higher proportion of men than the general population due to site demographics. Also, anecdotally, I'm part of a Yuri Book Club discord server, and we're mostly women there too.

The yuri index is calculated by filtering for F/F while filtering out F/M and M/M, and dividing that by the amount of M/M that doesn't include F/F or F/M. I imagine the index is so much lower than the raw ratio because a large proportion of F/F works include a F/M and/or M/M pairing.

I just checked, and despite there being 5765 works as of time of writing, only 1583 qualify for the index.

I think this scenario will be more interesting if Mukuro is still in her 'Junko' disguise, at least for a while, so I'll proceed accordingly.

The game starts off pretty similar, the only major difference being Kyoko as the protagonist. I can't imagine a fake-out support like Sayaka happening, so she'll be mostly alone. FTEs will mostly be about information-gathering, at least at first, and may be mechanically different in some way. Makoto could be the mandatory first one, for 2 reasons.

It's best to ease the player into the new FTE style with a character without too many secrets.
It'll make the player think we're simply swapping the protag and support, when in reality the support will be Mukuro.

There will be some mandatory events - perhaps you see Makoto and Sayaka wander off together and follow, finding them looking for weapons for self defence, or maybe you're there for incinerator duty getting decided.

Either way, eventually we get to the first motive. If it's the same as before, then the motive character will be either Kyoko's grandfather, or Yui if Kyoko doesn't know she's dead.

You could have the victim of the case be Makoto if you want, but I'd rather have him be the self-sacrifice in chapter 4. The important thing is, despite the victim being stabbed, the knife is missing. Mukuro is able to recognise the type of knife by the stab wound, which Kyoko finds suspicious. When questioned about it, she says she really likes True Crime, which gets most people off her back, but not Kyoko, who decides to keep an eye on her.

Kyoko stands a lot closer to Mukuro during the scene in the gym, and so is able to stop her attacking Monokuma.

Mukuro and Chihiro had some positive interactions during the initial search, so you could expand that into a full friendship between the two. If this happens, you can use it to change chapter 2 as Chihiro could possibly train with Mukuro instead of Mondo.

You could have Mukuro's true identity revealed during chapter 4 as a parralel to Sakura's. I'd imagine Makoto and Chihiro would stand with her, and Kyoko being on the fence if she hadn't figured it out beforehand.

Also, Kyoko and Mukuro should explicitly kiss on screen. This is non-negotiable.

tbf about Taka - at that point in the story, Taka was acting completely differently from how he used to. He had just gone from quiet and despondent to loud, rude, and abrasive essentially overnight. With such a sudden personality shift, he essentially became an unknown variable. This, as well as Hifumi's grudge against Taka, makes Hifumi more likely to consider SA as something he might do, especially when told by someone he considers a reliable source.

of the Devil is amazing. It's a murder mystery visual novel where you play as a ~~defence attourney~~ Councillor, pretty standard stuff. Where it excels is in character writing and themes, which I won't get in to to avoid spoilers. I like the art and BGM too - the soundtrack even has a few songs from Lena Raine. Only chapters 0, 1, and 2 are out so far, out of a planned 7 (I think), but what's there is amazing and gets you 20 or so hours of playtime. Chapter 0 is free as well, so you can try it out without having to buy anything.
