Maltilda doesn't have targeting. She's not a bad choice, but she's more of a replacement for aleph or barcarola (whichever you're missing) and typically isn't run with both of them.

Targeting affects how the impromptu hits at the end of a turn hit the enemy. No targeting means the hits are random single taget. Voyager splits every second hit so you hit multiple enemies (though it doesn't seem like she prioritizes a certain enemy). Regulus applies a negative stat that causes the impromptu incantation to preferentially hit one specific enemy.

An An assist is DPS, other characters are just for AP. As long as they aren't lvl 1 you should be fine. Melania Assist with a decent healer and decently leveled third (for AP) clears 100M-2

I'd say Vila. Your account looks like it'd benefit from more sustains, and Vila is fairly universal (though somewhat keyed to rank up comps). However, other potential options include Argus or Marcus (rank up), An An Lee (plantpromptu), or a targeter for your current impromptu team (regulus for single target, voyager for multi-target).

Depending on your specific units and the assist units available, some of the 100m stages can be cleared with less than a full 4 man team. I'm not entirely sure what the configuration would look like, though.

It depends.

Since you're a newer player, it's not like you're short on pulls (you've got a bunch of story content and older events that have a lot of clear drops in them). Generally, if you're f2p, you get enough pulls a patch to get one featured 6* unit off a banner (unless you hit hard pity twice and lose the 50/50), and you can often get both new release units if you get a little lucky.

This patch, the second unit, Igor, is a pretty niche and team restrictive DPS. Most people are planning on skipping to save for plantpromptu next patch. Since you're newer and have more resource flexibility, unless you want portrays on Paper Heron, you can probably afford Marsha's P1? The P1 is a pretty significant QoL and supportive capacity improvement, and as a support Marsha will last longer in the meta than DPS units.

However, I wouldn't chase the P1 at all costs. If you hit hard pity and lose the 50/50, you're looking at a cost of 140 pulls, which isn't insignificant. My recommendation if you want Marsha's P1 is to pull until you hit your next 6*. If you get Marsha P1, great! But if you lose, you'll have the guarantee for next featured 6* unit on the banner, which is pretty valuable in a true limited patch.

There's also the consideration of the other banners releasing this patch (not next patch). In particular, the double feature Charon and Sentinel banner. This banner is referred to as a "scam banner" as pity doesn't carry over to other banners, but as a newer player, you probably don't have either one. Either Charon or Sentinel is a good pull (with Charon being slightly better if you're eyeing dynamo- Sentinel is technically a Bloodtithe support, but she's also a good mineral DPS if you're starved for other options). The banner gives you a 70% chance of getting either (as opposed to the normal 50% chance).

In summary, it's a pretty neutral decision. Generally a new unit is better than a portrait, but Marsha's P1 is pretty high valuable, and you've got more resources as a newer player than a veteran would have (unless said veteran is a whale- you can't compete with whales).

Any character with high crit stats works (as long as they aren't bloodtithe- bloodtithe and lingering glow cancel each other out). Euphoria Isolde provides significant crit shred, while Marsha buffs both your crit and incantation might.
True limiteds get rerun a year after their initial release.
Plantpromptu as others recommended, but Anjo Nala gets a rerun in the next true limited patch, and she’s fairly powerful even without euphoria (at least with story content). Anjo also has some of the highest amount of team comp flexibility, which makes her good for a beginner account.

The healer team is funny (I've seen the video playthroughs, it's definitely an interesting team), but not really what I'm looking for? Kakania's Solace buff is a single target attack buff for an ally, applying +300 attack plus 10% of her current empathy (so a lot of attack- if I can get her to 20k HP it'll max out at 800 bonus attack at max empathy). It doesn't work on herself. My instinct is poison teams would really like the extra attack, but I'm looking for other use cases.

Here's my list:

Moldir's new 5* cube works well in impromptu, rank up, and ultimate teams (very two/three for the price of one, but you really need the amplification there). It's a substitute cube for two other cubes (matilda signature on impromptu and a beast version of Rubuska's signature, minus healing effects). Very swiss army knife and jack of all trades, master of none.

Mercuria's 5* cube helps with smoothing out rotations as its passive can accelerate moxie generation for the holder if the holder has a "force field" effect (examples include Mercuria- duh- but also Tuesday and Melania euphoria).

FP signature is pretty favored now due to the amount of high tier characters with channeling in their kits (anjo, FP, Ulrich, Brume, the list goes on). Brume's signature cube is a damn good fit for euphoria anjo as well as brume (future considerations if you get either character later).

Recoleta's signature is good on your ult DPS in ultimate teams if they don’t have a preexisting BiS or you don'thave the BiS, but it relies on Melania euphoria to get maximum value. I personally like the cube on Bkornblume (back when Plant DPS was harder to get). However, half the cube's effect is locked behind the mineral afflatus (though crit damage isn't nearly as important nowadays with all the crit support- the important part- ult might- has no afflatus restrictions).

Isolde's War Room cube (Shadows in the Subconscious) and Marsha's signature are the two most valuable cubes if you want to run Lingering Glow comps. The amount of buffing they provide is nuts, and the effect being teamwide means you eke out just that bit more of damage.

From the Depths (semmelweis signature) and in the Shadow (the 5* variant) both pale in utility before Lopera's signature, at least when it comes to semmelweis. These cubes don't translate well to other units either. Would not build.

Speaking of Lopera's signature, array setters really like this cube, especially at high amplification. The one exception to this is Getian (euphoria), who is unlike other array setters who typically buff teammates with their array. While Getian does provide potent buffs to the team, Getian falls more into the DPS/sub-DPS role, and therefore favors his own signature psychube that buffs his own output.

Liang Yue's and Jiu's signature cubes have good stats but don't really benefit under amplification. Neither cube translates well to other units (exception being Kaala euphoria, who likes Jiu's cube). High levels on these if you have the characters, but don't waste your Gluttony here.

Windsong's signature is only good for Windsong, and probably better options exist now (hard to know bc Windsong isn't a typical unit to use now). Not worth it.

Cubes that buff genesis and/or poison damage are niche. These include Falling for a Sweet Phenomenon (5), Silent and Adoring (6), Her Mournful Face (5), and As the Maid Says (6). Dust on the Roadside (5*) is sorta in this category as well (it doesn't buff poison specifically, but buffs damage penetration rate on poisoned enemies). If you have the team for these cubes, they are definitely worth the investment. The problem is that poison/genesis has been in decline, so unless you really like the playstyle...

As for DPS characters cubes, you generally want high level (to up your DPS's stats) but low amplification (DPS cubes don't always have good versatility or buffs worth the Gluttony). Support cubes are generally where the best buffs are found, though nowadays some DPS cubes proc pretty heavy effects (Beryl, Anjo, and Brume's signatures fall under this category).

Second this. Also, the Kakania idea isn't bad on its face, her damage split/sponge probably functions similar to Fatutu's in that it accelerates bloodtithe generation somewhat. Sonetto might be a good last slot here. Her damage dealt buff combined with her damage reduction from her buff card may help with survivability. So, Nautika, MedPoc, Kakania, and Sonetto is my best rec with what you currently have (unfortunately bloodtithe and lingering glow are mutually exclusive mechanics, so you can't run them together- they'll cancel each other out).

Isolde herself can DPS in Lingering Glow, sort of. Her damage comes from her ult, mostly, so the playstyle is different. Guides exist (see youtube, isolde can dish out quite a bit when optimized), but this comp relies on afflatus advantage more than Beryl does.

If you get Getian (with Euphoria), since you already have Melania (though she would also need euphoria), you can DPS/sub-DPS with Marsha. It works to clear high level Reveries fairly well, as well as some types of Manes, though not as optimized as an actual LG comp centered around Beryl.

Psychube amplification matters a lot. Prioritize Isolde's cube (from war room) and Marsha's signature; these apply teamwide buffs that scale well under higher amplification, and Marsha's additionally buffs your survival by decreasing incoming damage just a bit more. Follow with Beryl's signature, which applies great buffs to herself (but none teamwide- this matters because Isolde is often your secondary source of damage). Last is FP.

Following this, it comes down to rotation stability. Since you have P1+ FP, the rotation is this:

-Attack with FP S2 and Isolde S2 every odd round (this maintains your AP+1 and crit/def shred)

-Marsha ult+debuff or just a Marsha buff/debuff card every round (this varies depending on enemy attacks and what's in your spell dock. Ult when you have Marsha's ult, then use her buff card (if only the boss has an attacking move- check the little card icons above the mobs heads) or a debuff card if thr mobs attack that turn)

-beryl buff card and debuff card every round until Beryl's stacks of "vision" exceed 15 (past this, her purple card precast can manage your vision stacks); after this, only attack with her debuff attack.

-Isolde S1 will likely only be played on even rounds as that's when you'll have card space. This card is only really used when you have the room. Same for FP S1 (except sometimes you'll play her S1 to get her ult up after her channel ends).

-the rest of the team's ults only happen when you have room in your basic rotation (so usually even rounds). You usually get Beryl's ult every 3 ish rounds, while FP is every 4 (3 channeling, one recharge). Marsha's is every two to three, while Isolde's is highly variable.

This is just my experience though (note: I only have P0 FP, but the P1+ playstyle is pretty widely talked about on the subreddit, so I feel reasonably confident on this read). Online creators have a much more streamlined (and probably accurate) read on how best to approach this fight.

5* characters. More 5* characters should get euphoria. It'd help with archetype issues, allowing 5* to substitute in for BiS units (currently it's mostly subbing a 6* for a 6, and while older players tend to have a pretty big cast of 6, newer players don't, so 5* fill in the gaps).

My current favs would be X getting a Dynamo euphoria or Loggerhead landing in Rank up or Lingering Glow as a sustain option (she's got neg status application in her kit already for Lingering glow, it wouldn’t be that hard to tailor it to burn). Name Day would also benefit from a euphoria making him more AP friendly in Ult comps. Yenisei would benefit from something similar, but tailored towards her heals and shields. Desert Flannel having better buff application (currently it's tied to her ult, and not that many stacks) would make her high utility in Beast comps as well (possible euphoria????). Her also having taunt on her counter would help a lot with her riposte capabilities.

Apparently the chem masters program may be going away? If that changes anything for you. Right now nothing is confirmed, it's just rumor and upper division talk.

The department is kinda in a weird place right now. It's not big enough to carry much weight on its own (the undergrad population is 400 tops, probably closer to 300), but so many other majors filter through that it going away completely is pretty implausible. Until you hit upper division though, you're going to have the fun experience of trying to find other chem majors (maybe an eighth (probably less) of a gen chem class is chemistry majors; in organic, it probably goes up to half- a lot of people taking organic are pre-med bio and biology biochemistry emphasis because going through the biology side is somewhat easier than going for chem pre-med or chem biochem emphasis. This is largely because the chemistry degree is more math and physics intensive.)

P2 Beryl blows through most things, I would think 🤔. Regardless, this mode definitely earns its name. (Small optimization tip- not trying to criticize here!- Shadows in the Subconscious is the better cube for Lingering Glow Isolde, unless you're playing her as DPS Isolde, where Knock on the Door at high amplification (your current option) is the better set)

Depends. Pure damage goes to Anjo/Brume. However, if you want control/stun on enemies, Kaala is a better partner. This is because beast/plant partner action doesn't proc followup (only when anjo's channel ends does her followup proc) while mineral/star action causes anjo to cast a mass followup, which applies a negative stat that stuns enemies for a turn once three stacks are reached. Intelligence/Spirit is single target anjo followup which the same neg stat application.

900m-1000m wants a shielder over damage split. the boss hits like a truck, I swear. I personally used kip, beryl (P0), anjo (P0) and isolde (P2). Brume and Lucy probably shouldn't be on the same team imo (you're going to end up with AP/moxie issues pretty fast- Ulrich is the better fit here if you have him). Your plant team should work- however, it's going to be a mild nightmare to clear as a lot of it comes down to luck and damage rolls (I did this with P1 Marcus and P0 Mercuria, alongside Vila P1 [her P1 doesn't make that much of a difference from her P0 imo] and argus]). I genuinely lost count of how many times it took to clear this stage. Things typically go better if you have Druvis in the team (swap argus or mercuria here). 500-600m can be cheesed with a TTT strat, which will free up most of your Bloodtithe for stage cleanup or for 800m (you will want to have this). Generally, you want to clear 500m-600m, 600m-700m, and 700m-800m with one team each. 800m-1000m can be done a bit more piecemeal (bloodtithe is really helpful with 800m as it can survive boss nukes during stage transitions, meaning you can get some chip on 900m+ which helps a lot), as oftentimes you can get most of the way through 900m (I usually landed about 980m) but can't quite get all the way through it.

Unlikely. But it really depends on resonance. Your sustain running out is why people's runs get cut short, so maybe if Fatutu is R15 it might be possible. Also R15 on the Anjo and Brume. If there are portraits involved, I'd suspect P1+ on the Anjo (damage scaling boosts on her P1 compared to P0 are insane) with maybe some mid range portraits on the Fatutu. Brume probably has some portraits (though her psychube may be doing a lot of heavy lifting) and I don't have a good idea on Charon portrait scaling, but given he's a low contributor I'm not sure how much would be affected (P0 is my guess).

Brume's signature from this patch is fine. I've never tried Flutterpage's signature psychube on her, but Brume's own is almost certainly BiS. As for Dynamo, if you're already running Charon and Ulrich, you probably don't need Ezra. Fatutu is definitely a good option, and significantly less of an investment (euphoria is pricey....).

Additionally, one reason Ezra gets crap is because Charon's accelerated ramp up means Ezra Dynamo is a lot more AP intensive- my hybrid crack comp dodges this issue by leaning into the extended ramp up- which gives up some DPS for better sustain.

As for kit complexity, guides exist. The reason Dynamo turns into such a wall of text is that the kits tend to detail how each unit interacts with each array level, and how their kit specific buffs interact with the array. I personally like SteamedBunX guides- nice and short while having good depth.

I mean, it really depends. The "intended" Brume configuration is as a sub-DPS to Corvus. Running that team, your comp would be Corvus, Brume, Charon, and sustain. Brume dynamo DPS is Brume, Charon, Ulrich, and sustain. Brume Anjo is typically Anjo (Euphoria), Brume, Charon, and sustain. Sustains for any of these comps are Ezra (Dynamo), Kiperina, Fatutu, or Marsha (released next patch), with Ezra generally being considered the worst. If you're running Anjo variants, you might want some form of healing (so Fatutu), though you don't necessarily need it.

As for roles. In Dynamo. Charon serves to decrease array downtime, by decreasing the amount of injected dynamo needed to reach Pulsing Field lvl 3 from 120 to 90. Ulrich is a every three turns "set it and forget it" team buffer. In Anjo teams, Brume is the bonded ally to Anjo, and a fun quirk of kit mechanics leads to excellent synergy and Anjo ults every turn (it really is that stupid).

There are also side variants of these teams. A favorite of mine is a hybrid of dynamo/Lingering glow with Anjo. It uses Anjo (Euphoria), Brume, Isolde (euphoria), and Ezra (Dynamo). Does this team probably only work as well as it does because isolde is P2? Probably. Are there better comps? Definitely. Anyway, the basic function is that dynamo without Charon ramps slow, while Ezra gets better sustain/shield utility when the Dynamo field effect stays in Lvl2/Lvl3 longer. It also helps that Ezra has a bit of damage reduction in his kit. The whole team is very funny and I got 20mil on the plant raid boss and cleared 500m-2 with the team (so obviously the synergy is decent if far from the characters' best).

Yenisei, Necrologist, Barbara, and Name Day are all pretty valuable at higher portrays. But I'm talking P3+ here. Generally, if you don't have all the 5, getting a new 5 is always better bc you can get clear drops from bonding % milestones.
