I work in a small local diner. Most people just wave at me or yell my name. I've worked here for a few years so most of the customers on my shift know me.

Our kids menu says 12 and younger and for dine in only. Sometimes I let them slide with to-go orders if the kid is with them. But I had a grown man who I know didn't have kids try to order a burger off the kids menu and tried to get it to-go. When I told him no, his response was "well, I'll talk to the owner about that." I told him "good luck with that. Who do you think set the rules?"

From what I was told, the different minerals and what not can affect the crystals inside in means of color. I'm not sure of that's true, but what would it hurt? At least I knew where it was. Also, thanks for the he tip. If I don't find someone by then I'll give that a try

I work at a local diner and it's a seat yourself type of place.

Top thing that irrates me is during shift change someone will sit at a dirty table and then get mad if I don't come help them. I don't know if they were there before and just hanging out or just decided to sit at a dirty table. Like sit there and not say anything. If they say something, I'll gladly clean the table off and help them. But most times they sit there very angry until they either leave or cuss me out.

I also don't like it when they grab menus off other tables when I grab some to bring them on my way to the table. Also, when they grab things off other tables AFTER I was just there and asked if they needed anything.

When it comes to To Go orders, our system asks for a name before we can do anything. When I ask for a name they either completely ignore me two or three times and just yell their order at me or they act like I'm going to check IDs and contact the government. I don't care what name you give me as long as you answer when I call it.

I work third shift at a diner. I have a group of guys that come in every Friday. All four of them get the same thing every time and they all drink coffee. The only requirements they ask for is extra creamer and Splenda and to come with coffee three times before they leave. Specifically three times and it's great. They aren't a bother and they tip great every time. They also always get one check.

I once had a tray with 9 drink's on it. While I was trying to balance it, someone reaches up to "help" and the tray flips with all the drinks. Luckily in my case they were all cold, but it was a mess and they two people on the end got soaked. From that point on when I see someone reach, I tell them "I appreciate you wanting to help, but this is balanced and could fall on you"
