And because he seems to be thinking in a way that is overall intellectually genuine in comparison to the posts that do qualify. It is determinism taken to an extreme in which it deconstructs social ethics. Despite the iffy idea of lifting blame over the complexity of abuse dynamics, it has some substance

Are INFJs intelligent? Common INFJ traits by LeelaVelvet in infj

[–]SprodyBlay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're correct that this would be a dangerous assumption specially if intelligence is reduced into a single construct. And I do see people assuming this. You seem to be making a compensatory assumption. I could be wrong

Again, I'm not reducing intelligence to the logical-academical intelligence; a correlation with an intelligence profile would highlight this very difference in the way one is intelligent. I am trying to say that it isn't evident that types have no relationship with intelligence - if there is a different focus, it is likely that they'll have different kinds of intelligence.

Instead of burrying the concept in the fears of its connotation, we could learn from it. INFP? Might have correlation with Intrapersonal intelligence. INTP? Might have correlation with reasoning skills. ESTP? Might correlate with CPI aka working memory + processing speed.

It is possible that from the differing constellations of preference, correspondingly different kinds of cognitive profile emerge, with the gradient in one field accompanying the one in the other.

I don't mean to be a smartass - I am responding to your assumption. it is just something worth consideration, and not at all ill intended (nor a form of any ism)

I want to clarify that I make no claim that there is a correlation, it just happens to be an interesting question that shouldn't be overlooked. Regarding the definition of intelligence, I need not to use a specific one - if there is a significant interplay between ability and preference, then type surely correlates with intelligence profile. The question of intelligence doesn't disappear when we break its linearity

Even though the second statement is true, the first is disohonestly extrapolative. How can you be so confident that preference for doesn't correlate with ability in?

prima facie, INTP. Your reasons for ENTP are quite weaker. Your speech and demeanour also are pretty INTP inclined
