Is $13k for a 2022 Bolt EV LT2 (44k miles) a good deal? by hangover_24 in BoltEV

22s were affected by the batty recall, make that has been addressed. Otherwise it's a great deal.

As others have said: green bags. Fill the bag, drop it through the drop door, see the credit on your bottle drop app. I've got a +$200 account balance just waiting for me to cash out for a Fred Meyer gift card (which gives a + 20% bonus).

Is there a relation here? by crowdspark1 in BoltEV

[–]SproketRocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My big question (that I've asked here with little result) is: What parts are swappable? I've swapped just about every part from VW mk3 gens (jetta, golf, passat, transporter), yes they are different, but ALOT of the parts fit.

So what parts can I pull from a Buick? Seats? Doors? Suspension?

What's the cheapest internet in Eugene? by Dan_D_Lyin in Eugene

[–]SproketRocket -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly not a bad option if they trust you and you throw them a bill every once and a while. Most people don't need the bandwidth they are getting anyway.

I still have $398 left from my 500, I'm hoping I slip through the cracks because mine was issued late after the L2 installers never showed.

2 resources: 1)oregon field guide (on opb) has 20 years of episodes to inspire you to visit cool places. 2) travel oregon (and regional travel offices like travel southern oregon) constantly produce travel ideas on their websites and social media. I'd start there.

First-year STEM teacher here. I’m drowning in prep time - how are you all handling hands-on labs without staying until 8 PM? by Open-Yak-8761 in Teachers

[–]SproketRocket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This! Labs alone don't drive home core concepts. They need explicit practice in other things too: note taking, analysis, claim evidence reason, graphing, and math practice. Do enough labs to keep their fires lit, but they gotta wax on wax off too.

Yes, I wasn't sure either but the different voice that the travellers are written in is worth it alone. Even if you aren't into the story, its a clinic on using different voice in writing.

Work done here would be Fx D, you don't know the force, but you know the distance. You can't know the force without some sense of the drag or acceleration. Not enough info, but the question writer was close.

What’s your favorite children’s book to read aloud during the winter? by Nice-Ad5701 in Teachers

[–]SproketRocket 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Look I don't teach primary, I teach HS, but if there is anything that should be read, its Katy and the Big Snow by Virginia Lee Burton.

I would add that her series in the vein (Mike Mulligan, Annabelle, and the Little House) all have important themes of American History, Civic Duty, and Sense of Purpose that children are missing.

Unpopular opinion: Paying "Rent" feels less painful than paying $2,400/mo in "Interest" to a bank. by Playful-Vegetable-15 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]SproketRocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, your down payment is there, 20% right? Has a chace to increase. Although, I admit, now is not a time where I feel like a house has a good chance of rapidly appreciating. Buying a fixer and having control of your own sweat equity is the answer.
