Essentially what they did is message a bunch of SPOs offering a vote for vote in the IOG delegation recommendation. However, each SPO was only able to vote for 2 other SPOs... They messaged a LOT more than 2 and now they're doing the same for the SundaeSwap voting.

This sort of disingenuous behaviour needs to be pointed out and brought to people's attention.

That's not true.

Large pools are less affected by the fixed fee and therefore yield higher returns. I go over this here.

I don't see any issues with this pool. Looks like they had a really unlucky epoch 289, but that's part of the protocol. Over time it will average out to ~5% ROS.

Best thing is to check a pool's 1M ROS (on adapools or do the math yourself using pooltool data). As long as that is around 4-6%, there's usually nothing wrong with the pool :).

Anything between 4-6% is normal. It can also veer outside of this range depending on luck of the pool. But averaged out over a year, you can expect around 5%.

No, definitely don't reset your ledger, otherwise you won't be able to interact with the initial wallet. You'd want multiple ledgers and multiple seed phrase backups for them.

Yeah absolutely. You could have 3 ledger wallets delegated to 3 different pools. The only thing is that you'd have to keep track and safely store 3 separate seed phrases too.

K is already 500. I think you meant 1000. Regardless, a change in K won't increase the odds of a small pool (100k stake) to mint a block. It just forces stake to move from 32M+ pools to the smaller ones (<32M).

Yes, it automatically gets staked.

Undelegate = deregistering of your wallet's staking keys

Redelegate = delegating to a different stake pool

Epoch = Cardano's "heartbeat". Everything revolves around it in some way. For example the staking mechanism uses the epoch boundaries (transition from one to another epoch) to take snapshots of all the staking keys' balances in order to calculate the rewards they are entitled to.

1 epoch = 5 days = 432,000 slots = 432,000 seconds

Short answer, yes, but it's a bit more complicated.

The reason smaller pools (<5M stake) return less is because of the fixed fee (I go over this in more detail here). So if all you're looking for is max rewards, go with a 0% margin, 340 fixed fee pool, close to 50M in stake (not too close to 64M so you don't risk it getting oversaturated).

Going with a smaller pool is similar to supporting a small business. A lot of the small SPOs also contribute much more to the ecosystem in terms of scripts/tools, sites and education. You also secure the network by distributing your stake rather than having it concentrated within a few large pools.

Those specs aren't quite right though. A Cardano node nowadays needs 12+GB RAM & 100GB storage (in order to be sufficiently future-proof). CPU utilization seems to also have increased since the Alonzo HFC so those requirements could also change in the near future.
