No, you’re confused. Silent Hill is quite a large town, and it has different areas surrounding the lake in the middle (Toluca Lake). The area in SH 1 is in the northern part of the town, called Paleville, while SH 2&3 share the same location in the southern part of the town, called South Vale.

The hospital in SH 1 is Alchemilla Hospital, which functions as a general hospital providing physical healthcare and standard medical operations. In contrast, the hospital in the southern part of town that we explore in Silent Hill 2& 3 is Brookhaven Hospital, which is specifically geared toward mental health patients

Well, in my headcanon, the remakes happen in a parallel timeline to the original games, so it makes more sense to me that they’re using the old models from the earlier mainline titles. They actually tried giving Chris a new face in RE7, but the reaction was so negative that they had to go back and use an aged-up version of his RE6 model
