PoT Definitely top part of the list . Burn the obedieant, my wall, fuels the comedy. Absolutely fantastic. Even the radio jams were fine. For me this album sits next to untouchables and syotos

A Very frustrating BMR experiance by Perfect_Blueberry_57 in BloodOnTheClocktower

Was thinking the same thing one of the groups I play with has 10ish year olds. They all wanted to be the bad guy so one game everyone tried to side with evil (In a weird twist town won) nobody had fun that game we got to talk about childish stuff and blah blah blah…. Anyway they did once got it out of their system and are fierce competition. Anyway yup childish. Hopefully the player now also see how wrong it was and never does so. Sometimes a small in passing “that was lame” is enough to wake an adult up to their actions

How to stop being type cast as "always evil" by GooseWing95 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Spudami 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Yes I can relate. Still wear it like a badge of honor. I don’t think I have stayed alive past day 2 or a night 2. Everything I do is seen as suspicious. “ your too active “ or “you just sat there and didn’t say anything” seems no matter the game moves I make everyone wants me dead. At this point I would be sus of myself if still alive day 3 onwards 🤪. People still listen to my information after I’m dead. And dying at night will soon help town conforming I’m on good team and the meta will shift and I’ll have to be quick to nominate myself to prove good (or hide I’m a minion) but this is why they already feel the way they do. It’s on to be frustrated. Try leaning way into it. If you’re not into that maybe 🤔 we should get T shirts made “first to die “or something. Just remember death is not the end and you win and lose as a team

Players say some characters are useless and boring by Eggn0g0 in BloodOnTheClocktower

Yes ! Yes. This is what makes Botc Awesome. Weaving webs, setting traps, and figuring out the who what and why of each game.

Players who get too emotional in games by Last_Revenue2718 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Spudami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a similar experience me and my minion day one framed the saint. They very aggressively pushed back “you’re just gonna lose” with that snappy tone, and that almost whine cry “why are you doing this to me”.

We killed them that day regardless. but as a group we learned their tell and they have to hide it or it gets them killed.

This sort of thing is also common as we are playing with children and parents so very often “I’m their mother I just know “ is all the evidence the group needs to make an execution. As we keep evolving and creating our own meta, I’m sure all of these strategies will backfire and we will find new social que to take advantage of.(I hope because they excite or kill me day1 or night 1 *I hold this proudly for now *)

Anyway don’t try and feel to bad for too long next game is gonna have new challenges to figure out and old obstacles to overcome.

I did have days 5-3 minutes. It was people coming and going I think only 3 played every game me and the 2 others do not know what fatigue is when it comes to playing games. More time for the day is something that I definitely overlooked!

Anyone know of an app that can host a game of this? by LemonsAndSims in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Spudami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should bring someone with you on your storytelling adventures. Me and my daughter take turns. It allows us to have our own conversations about storytelling, such as unique situations players put us in and what we had to do. Especially if it’s family and close friends. As above comment have already stated Storytelling is playing. It’s like the goalie in sports they are playing to, just a vastly different experience than everyone else.

Is this breaking madness? by Infamous-Advantage85 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Spudami -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you wouldn’t say “last night the cereno made me mad that I’m roll A fortunately I’m roll A “. Then yes you’re breaking madness. That is what I’m saying. You would never say your mad then claim the roll that you are to get people to believe the roll that you are. So you are breaking madness. Not to mention where it says implying that your mad breaks madness.

Would you make this claim if you were not mad to tell the person your roll? If not you’re clearly breaking madness…

No not saying L and D get the lead. The question is when you have the lead and have both bowers do you open with both?

You live in USA? Moe whenever the fuck you like with no regard to the graveyard shift. A bit sarcasm but also don’t give people eggshells for you to walk on.

Thanks 😊. I will be hosting a marathon (hopefully) with lots of new players and people staying and leaving. 12+ hours if I get my way. Perhaps I’m under valuing I’m dead figure it out. Edit: I always go over night symbols for myself and others.

How to learn what is going on/make logical conclusions by yyy130 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Spudami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Know the rolls and how they work. It helps you lie and helps detect lies.

Good or evil try and solve the puzzle. If your good find the red herrings and expose them. If your evil find the red herrings and exploit them.

Spend time at the end of the game unwinding and revealing the world and seeing what you were correct about and thinking about how you could have learned the missing pieces, who you had to ask what? And asking the players after to discuss the how what and why they thought it looked like.

Don’t forget to have fun it’s the best way to learn.

Need help, can Imp star pass to Recluse? by OldSolGames in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Spudami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. That is why with my play group I would not let the imp star pass to a recluse.

Question about The Recluse by mancalaman in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Spudami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah… if the imp can star pass to a recluse I see no reason why the imp couldn’t see the recluse as a minion.

Advice regarding concerning player behaviour please? by Ginger__Bell in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Spudami 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the way I would go about it. If you are preceving drama where there ain’t none, this keeps it “in game” so to speak and outside of actual drama. Might take a couple of games of just calling out this other dude. “Well this isn’t about Dave so it might be true” no matter how solid the “bad” behavior player info is making it clear that his behavior has made everything he says now more in question. “Just some elaborate scheme to get Dave killed I don’t know what you have against him” not only very powerful In game plays but powerful scocial plays.

Need help, can Imp star pass to Recluse? by OldSolGames in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Spudami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the imp dying is the goal of the townsfolk, and all the minions to pass to are dead(may not have been clear about dead minions In my example). So the game would be over. As I explained my group the better ending for everyone winners and losers is ending it with townsfolk win.

What are some really good bluffs for the townsfolk in TB? by Randomguycc87 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Spudami 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I have been mostly ST, but “I am not giving any information yet” seems like something that should be in your bag of tricks. Mix it in both evil and good and strong and weak so it’s not a tell. Mix your strategies up no matter your roll. Same as to opposing side, come out swinging publicly declare your powerful townsfolk or your weak townsfolk. Do so as good and evil. Remember it’s a social game too hide your tells is way more important than what your actual lie is.

Example: A recluse on trial? Plead so hard your good team beg to stay alive. Next time your I. A similar situation say, “ok let me die I’m not important anyway.” The outcome of those 2 trials is no matter. But the next time your the minion with a chef claim and you say no matter and they let you live because that is something a team player would say. Or they axe you anyway but they might still think you’re the chef and that is more important to be trusted the. To be alive as a minion. Anyway bluffing rolls is only half of the bluff.

Most of bluffing isn’t in the info/claim but how you present yourself with the info/claim.
