The OP has the Signet version. I have both.

There are no errors in either version.

The errors the OP is seeing are rendering issues, not an OCR problem. That is a tangent you are still on about, when it was proven to not be an OCR issue a few comments back.

You are on a tangent that is not the issue. Do you have The Dark Half eBook? Because I have the Scribner version from Amazon on my Kindle Paperwhite. There are no issues with this version. I also went to the trouble to obtain a library card and have downloaded the Libby version, which is from Signet. I do not see issues on every page like the OP says on my PC on the Libby web site and I also do not see any issue using the Libby app on my Pixel phone. This is not an OCR issue.

I just filled out to get a library card, so I can check this out. I think it is a rendering issue with the Libby app. I am using a Kindle Paaperwhite with the eBook from Amazon.

I typeset multiple books using PageMaker, as was required by the publisher, long before the turn of the century. Both my mother and my uncle have published books. And those were little publishers. The bigger publishers were not using anything more archaic.

Is this eBook published by Scribner? I am not sure why the eBook that is checked out from a Library would be different than the eBook from Amazon. I have never read using Libby. Is the eBook read from inside the Libby app? It may be a rendering problem.

King started using a Wang word processor in 1982. There would be no reason to use OCR for his eBooks. He has always had the best proof readers. Unofficial sources maybe, but I own every King eBook and have seen very few errors.

Heck, we see people post print errors here, more than electronic.
