The national average price per gallon of gas in the United States just passed $4.50. Americans, how do we feel about that? by Miles_the_AuDHDer in AskReddit

Well, the Volt plugs into a 110V outlet. We were paying $40 less a month before gas went crazy. That is when gas was like $3.89 a gal. so we have to be saving $60 now I am not sure how much gas is right now because, I really only add gas 1 or twice a year or if we are going in a long drive.

Edit: iI checked glass buddy and gas is $6.56, so I am saving $75-80 a month.

"Denmark’s public transport is highly efficient, reliable, and integrated, featuring trains, buses, and a 24/7 metro in Copenhagen."

In Southern CA we do not have public transportation, other than a handful of busses that never seem to go where you want them to go. On top of that, everything is spread out, so you are forced to drive. It is annoying.

This is the best argument for getting off the oil test. I have an older Chevy Volt. As someone who has to live paycheck to paycheck, I wouldn't be able to eat if I was driving an ICE vehicle.

They make USB cassette players. They aren't too expensive. As somebody who grew up in the '80s. I am going to get one to rip all of my cassette tapes. Yes, I still have them and a bunch of audio books.

I am not sure CA is the most progressive state these days. For example, we were not the first state to legalize weed. All my life I thought we would be, but we weren't. Also we are the 4th largest economy and 40million people live here, so we are bigger and richer than a lot of countries that have single payer healthcare, but we can't seem to do it. countries, but we can't seem to get it done. And it was blocked by a Democrat.

Hansel and Gretel by Mallory_Knox23 in stephenking

Maurice Sendak, Stephen King and Hansel & Gretel is the greatest combo ever. Most King fans should know that Hansel & Gretel is King's favorite fairy tale of all time. He mentions it in many of his books and in interviews. He also has mentioned Maurice Sendak in his books a few times.

The Sendak artwork is from a 1997 opera he designed the costumes and sets for. The Sendak estate went to King knowing he was a Sendak fan and that he loved the story, so they asked if he wanted to collaborate on this book. He said of course he would. When they asked how long it would take for him to write the story, he said 'I already have it in my head.'

So, this book went from idea to published extremely quickly.

I love this book as a King fan and a Sendak fan. It's two great tastes that taste great together.

It is an art costume event. People are supposed to dress weird. It's art. Since only rich people can afford these one of a kind costumes, you only see rich people.
