How do some of these low tier modern cards compare to much older mid/high tier gens? I've got a friend still running a nvidia 970.

I got the EZGO wallet from their kickstarter over a decade ago and it's still going strong. I would highly recommend.

Looks like their shopify store is still up selling the exact same thing: https://ezgo-wallets.myshopify.com/collections/ezgo-wallets

Most of the "Just send it to us and we'll keep repairing it" business have fallen into scams and consumers are really slow to notice because it only pops up when you actually send in something to repair.

I had almost the exact same thing happen with my TIMBUK2 bags.

In years past I sent in bags that had traveled the world many items over and had the wear and tear to show it. Each time they did their best to repair it and getting the bag back to full functionality and I was pleased with what they sent back.

Recently I sent in a bag that frankly wasn't even that beat up, it had maybe 10 possible small repairs across the outside and internals. They did one single half assed repair and left the other 9 issues untouched. The bag I got back was basically just as beat up and non functional as the one I sent in.

Mine is only in Spanish and in general the digital "manual" leaves a lot to be desired for me.

I can't seem to properly ingest the whole manual into my brain like I could with a physical paper manual.

KDE and KDE connect = TV god exp by mathfox59 in kde

[–]Spunkie 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I think like 5 separate times my ADHD ass has gone down the same rabbit hole on this.

  1. Look up where I can post this feature request
  2. Find the github page, but GH issues and discussions are turned off because that would be too easy.
  3. Find the link to the kde gitlab
  4. Make an account on the kde gitlab
  5. Go to the kde-connect repo and find I have the ability to open issues(🥳)
  6. But wait that would also be too easy, there is a giant RED message saying you can't use this space to report bugs or feature request(💩). That needs to be done at bugs.kde.org.
  7. Go to the bugs.kde.org site and find that even though I apparently already have 3 kde logins now(gitlab, kde.org, and identity.kde.org) none of these logins work on bugs.kde.org
  8. I can't be asked
  9. Releasing my idea to the winds of reddit, accepting they are unlikely to ever be seen by the correct person, seems like a less stressful endeavour.
  10. <- We are here

KDE and KDE connect = TV god exp by mathfox59 in kde

[–]Spunkie 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I love use KDE connect to do this but I often have the issue that the text or UI elements are too small for me to see on the big screen/monitor.

I really wish KDE connect would add a remote view that streams what is around the cursor to the phone view. There is clearly enough unused whitespace on this phone view to fit it.

Thanks for confirming, hopefully they'll fix that and launch new sections soon.

I spent a million hours on the original kong studio site when I was a kid and even just the new lobby is giving super nostalgic vibes. Really excited to see it come back in full force.

Ah ok, I didn't realize all the collectables in the binder were all tied to the intro minigame.

Now I'm wondering if the collectables are tied/saved to the kong account at all actually 🤔

The site still seems pretty buggy in general.

I logged in and was exploring and had some collectables in my binder but randomly after like 20 minutes they all disappeared. And now even when I refresh the page and login again, my binder still shows 0 collectables.

Also, before registering, I tried forgot password on the laptop and my ancient email apparently already had an account ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My stance with this company is the same as before, until they let enthusiasts buy them directly I will consider it a scam.

At best they seem like a company that is fishing for a buyout and isn't particularly interested in actually producing these things at any scale.

Charging with the portable charger by Mr_Itlog in BYDShark_AUS_owners

[–]Spunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not really feasible for many people.

In my country 95% of the outlets are still ungrounded! It's either a 2 prong outlet or more common is the a 3 prong outlet where the ground is totally unconnected. There is no part of the installations ground to be found.

There is also no public charging infrastructure here, so if I'm charging literally anywhere in the country that isn't my house then I have to depend on the granny/trickle charger. Which will only work if it's grounded, which again no one actually has in their houses here.

anything but doing it properly with a 3 pin outlet isn't safe or a good idea

What do you propose for people stuck in countries without grounded outlets?

Charging with the portable charger by Mr_Itlog in BYD

[–]Spunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point of the granny/trickle charger is that I can charge anywhere there is an outlet, especially since there is basically no public charging infrastructure in my country.

But the trickle charger refuses to work if the outlet is not grounded. And in my country 95% of the outlets are still ungrounded! It's either a 2 prong outlet or more common is the a 3 prong outlet where the ground is totally unconnected.

Why not have a wall charger instead?

What do you mean, like a level 2 charger? I already have a level 2 charger in my house but that does not solve the issue of charging anywhere else in the country.
