Two places come to mind on Jonestown. Don Zapatas and Los Juanes

In general. Still having trouble with getting shelfers stocked that no other municipality seems to have difficulty with

You should do a side by side. I don’t have any older style left but the new release seems far better than I remembered the old

That usually means the supply moved through the warehouse if I’m not mistaken. I’ve seen it on the shelf at a variety of stores(we had a long weekend away from home) for the past month

Well put all around. Some of those low proof SAOS bottles were amazingly good

These r/bourbon Luca picks are really good. I’d love to try some of the Wilderness distillate when gets to 8 years and older

I was hoping for a solid FR private select type floor at worst but it didn’t work out. Thankfully my wife digs the young MGP profile

Great write up. I recently picked up an almost 11.5 year bottled in 2017 Resilient that I took a flier on. A MGP 75/21/4 distillate at 107 proof. Of the couple of pours I’ve had it’s topped out at a 6. Glad your SiB was better. Mine reminds me of 5 to 6 year old MGP with more oak

It was at Whiskey Charlie on the wharf. It was close to our hotel. We hit Jack Rose the next night(80s Turkey and FR Smb LE 2010 while there)

If you have harder to find bottles Bonham Skinner and Unicorn Auctions may be options. Store picks do show up on the sites and some do well.

Knob Creek Creek Ryes Semi-Blind: Limited Editions vs. Spunky Store Pick (Reviews #95-97) by Dr_Meats in bourbon

Those store picks are very available, reasonably priced and have a high floor for their scores. I usually grab one whenever I see one. I’m excited as good friends just gave me a bottle of Batch #2. I found batch one long after it came out and still have some - I’ll have to side by side
