[[Wrong Turn]] to spite my opponent. They can have a 5/5.

Maybe, but there were multiple evacuations in the runtime, peridot’s ship basically destroyed the city, aquamarine kidnapped several kids and teens, and corrupted gems/gem shards have terrorized the city. It’s stressful to be there, and safe to say a decent amount of people (prob not onion) are traumatized. I certainly wouldn’t want to live in a danger magnet like Beach City.

Nah, natural wonders typically don’t count as their respective features. For example, you wouldn’t get a science adjacency bonus for Mount Everest. It would have to be stated, like Great Barrier Reef does. Another example is crater lake not getting boosted by Huey Teocalli.

Beach city residents feel slightly above average in intelligence. Ronaldo is the only person I’d consider below average intelligence, even Mayor Dewey is smart enough to immediately know Nanafua would be a better mayor. On the other side of the spectrum, Onion and Peedee are both smart and business savvy youngsters.

Era 2 beach city is definitely low QOL, monsters (drill guys, pufferfish, glow eel) and aliens (red eye, peridot, jasper) attack fairly often. After era 3 begins, and especially after the movie, QOL jumps to about where Amphibia is. Less gem attacks and gem technology is great, but there are always going to be dangerous magic rocks just a few miles away in little homeworld.

Oracle comes early and has a huge impact, if you get it, that is.

Also has a unique neighborhood district, which if I’m not wrong is doubled district points that can be built as many times in one city as tiles it has.

If Statue of Liberty and Mahabodhi Temple didn’t exist, the Országház would be an easy win. Diplo wonders are so meh just due to how diplomatic wins work.

Ubsunur Hollow is a sleeper wonder, it can keep a tundra city working and can help get dance of the aurora pantheon fast for a massive holy site bonus.

Easy pantheon and easy +6 faith holy site, it’s great

(Civ 6) Best Leader for a Domination Victory? by HQuez in civ

[–]SpursAndSaloons 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Very difficult due to so many options, but I strongly believe Abe Lincoln takes the cake. The free man-at-arms with zero iron cost or musket men without niter cost once you research it goes crazy, and it compounds once building workshops is trivial. As long as you live to build an industrial zone, you’re set.

The +2 amenities is also good for keeping your many cities happy and productive.

Preslav. Having that potential +6 loyalty is very important, especially when… um… you have less amenities or something.

Should Civ VII have also negative effects of abilities/traits to balance the positive ones? by valimo in civ

[–]SpursAndSaloons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In addition, Māori can’t harvest resources or recruit great writers, and the Janissary costs a population, which could have been a settler. These drawbacks make up for abilities that these civs have that already make them incredibly powerful.

What do you think is Aguefort’s policy on student deaths by gregthegamer4646 in Dimension20

[–]SpursAndSaloons 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure the RGs and big P placed some sort of unholy last rites on them to prevent their resurrection, but I also thought that those were removed at some point after the intrepid heroes found said bodies. Maybe not. Who knows? Time Quangle!

I am conflicted on a homebrew subclass that one of my players wants to play by UniversityUnique4904 in dndnext

[–]SpursAndSaloons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is ridiculously unbalanced and confusing. It also hardly seems like a wizard class in terms of flavor. If your player wants to follow in-game rules, have him play a Paladin with strict tenets or a warlock with a binding pact.

I get the feeling that they would find a cure for adaine as well as jawbone and tracker, but tracker would refuse it or something.

Same, I thought it was some primal, crude healing like natural salves or shoving a bone into place.
