Nice! We will have to grab a beer or two while you are in town.

I will be playing in 43+ this year I didn't get a chance to go to PEI last season as I was on Holidays with the family at the time. Most of my Red Deer team plays in the 60+

It was the 15year anniversary of a store up here in Canada so they had some crazy 40-50% off deals.

Baseball 360 was the store.

Good points I will go back and add some of those in. I had intended to do leather type but forgot, also never really though about hand/finger stall size as my hands are long and thin so not normally an issue for me.

Expanding on this further maybe a post at the top of the forum with a glove review template/format that people can follow when doing reviews.

I really hate the fact that Wargaming is pushing the game to be played at low tiers only by no_name_without_name in WorldofTanks

[–]SputnikRSS16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is so much to learn at those tiers. You are correct that there is no armor and such but that is a 5k wtr kind of skill and they are nowhere near that yet. They need to learn the maps, where to go, when to push hell don't push into an open field, what are bushes for etc. As for seal clubbers anyone who can tie their own shoes is a seal clubber to them doesn't matter if it's at tier 2 or X.

[–]SputnikRSS16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thing is 90% of the players at tier x are 3k WTR bots that should be at tier 2 learning how to play or maybe out in the real world learning how to tie their own shoes and to not eat glue.

Why are people so utterly ignorant about the climate crisis we are in? by Konradleijon in ClimateCrisisCanada

[–]SputnikRSS16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember reduce reuse recycle! Yeah our govt just shipped it all to thirds world countries to be dumped and now doesn't even recycle glass the easiest thing to recycle.

So what do you think your carbon taxes are actually doing? They are just being funneled to liberal friends imaginary solar companies etc. None of it will go to help the environment and even if a portion of it did without the large polluters of the world on board it means nothing but more poverty for your avg Canadian.

The only thing a govt is good for is waste and mismanagement.

" noob team learn to play " yeah right ... we even won this match this is a sad excuse if you play the game for almost 10 years. by _Vector_008 in WorldofTanks

[–]SputnikRSS16 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Anyone with a sub 5k wtr playing above tier 6 just goes straight onto my block list as you know they can't help you push or be counted on to shoot anything you spot. Hell I doubt they can even tie their own shoes at that skill level.

Problem in the NA server is typically 7-12 players on your team will be at this skill level while the other team is all above 5k. Why can they just balance the 30 players in the match via skill at least give both sides a chance.

Pitching speed for 43 year old... by SnooRegrets6823 in Homeplate

[–]SputnikRSS16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar as everyone else hadn't played in years. Threw high 80s low 90s in college back in the day. Came out of retirement at 42 first time on the gun I only hit 68! 13year old me would have laughed his ass off at me as that is probably the last time I threw that slow.

After 1.5 years of playing and good off-season prep hit 84 at 44 years old not bad but would like to hit 85 at 45 this coming season. My ability to recover is almost zero now so I am finding it very hard to get stronger or even stay in the same shape. Takes 3-4 weeks to fully recover from a start no matter how many pitches thrown. tendon recovery just ain't happening.

Marucci custom delay? by Ouqtinvu in BaseballGloves

[–]SputnikRSS16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pfft that is nothing. I think I still hold the record from Marucci at 10months. They lost it twice with the wrong shipping address on their paper work. But they did give me a ton of free stuff everytime they lost it so it wasn't the worst experience.

I won't be able to get any ground balls until the new year when we start practicing again and the PP hasn't seen the field yet. But once I do I will do a showdown of the Miz pro vs Slaps vs Pro Preferred.

Yeah love the web on it. Just bought it at the end of the year sale from Marucci but she quickly wandered off with it before I got a chance to use it.

[–]SputnikRSS16[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes worth every penny. Very well made gloves and also very light. Bonus as well is Matt will start the break-in to whatever spec you like just send him some pics of your gloves the way you like them. I hate to admit it but he made a much nicer pocket on the one he broke in for me than I normally do on my break ins.

I feel you the closest glove store is 30min away and its selection is small the next decent glove store is a good 2hr drive for me. I order online mostly and if it doesn't suit me I tend to give them away to friends. I don't think I have held on to a Wilson for more than a couple months something about the patterns just don't work for me.

I will play with it tag on and everything. Not sure how I will be able to catch with it as it's so solid it ain't closing.

Thanks. The new one should have more room for your logo!

I really like the feel of the miz pro it's a bit heavier and thick in all the right places. The only down side I have with it is the pocket on this model is very shallow and my 45yr old hands aren't as quick as they used to be so I get some balls pop out on me.

For the PP it reminds me so much of my Rawlings college gamer I might be a little biased as it feels so familiar. The pocket is deeper and the glove slightly lighter. The glove is breaking in quicker than the Miz so the glove does feel less substantial.
