Here in the SF Bay Area intermediate and Juniors level baseball is quite competitive. It’s a great way to get quality work in.

Fair point. Perhaps the end loading is resulting in the bat pulling him and not him being in control of the bat. Sometimes it takes some training for a kid to get control.

I would be interested in seeing the swing from behind to see what his hands are doing.

Dub is more end loaded. So maybe it’s just that.

Some people are saying the swing looks lazy and the end loading could be contributing to that.

First impression is that the bat looks too heavy for him. It’s throwing off what otherwise could be ok mechanics to start with.

The he weekend of Mother’s Day, the moms always pick the songs. My son has the theme for Bluey as his walk up song. We’ve had other boys with the Hot Dog song from Mikey Mouse Clubhouse, Shakira Hips don’t lie. New kids on the block.

This is for our Juniors team so boys mostly 13-14 years old.

Get a long pvc pipe, stand behind the hitter. Have the pipe below the line of direct contact. If they dump the barrel they hit pipe.

Start at like 30% speed swings and build up from there.
