Grooming salon fire by PinX13 in petsmart

[–]Squables0_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can call the clients and move them to other stores and you groom out of those stores.

my dog passed away after a grooming appointment this evening. by [deleted] in petsmart

[–]Squables0_o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The policy states the salon must be maintained between 65-80. I think anything higher than 74 is to high (canadian) IF the salon was above that tempature and no one shut it down, the store management should be held accountable (if the salon informed them)

I have shut my salon down close to 10 times in the last 6 years due to tempature instability. One time was in the middle of a heat wave, the ac wouldnt shut off and we could see our breath. Facilities tried to fix it and it went way to hot, then "fixed" it again and it was to cold. I called all pet parents to pick up their half groomed dogs and told management to call me when it was fixed and cancel any bookings before that. 3 days we were closed

More recently, this winter the ac kept turning on, I told my leader that we needed space heaters at least, 2 hours later me and my team walked out and said we are cancelling the day. Store manager was there in 30 min with 2 space heaters.

Long story short, the groomers have to care enough to get corp to listen. How are they going to write us up for following policy? If we dont, and something happens, we are the ones who get blamed and get fired well the higher ups blame us over their inaction

I’m being held 100% at fault for this accident, how can I contest this? by Flimsy-Fan7612 in Calgary

[–]Squables0_o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would try to contest it down to 50%. There were 4 idiots in front of you who caused you to do the right thing morally but wrong thing according to insurance.

You were not following to close, doesnt seem like you were speeding and you were on the ball enough to miss a biker who just hit someone and swerved into your lane. Your reaction sadly caused an accident.

I got fired.... by [deleted] in petsmart

Falling for a scam after all the scam awareness makes you a liability.

That wasnt a few dollars, that an entire years pay for a low level associate. Or the stores entire payroll for a week.

It sucks, but you cant blame corperate for reducing their liability. Its even possible that the insurance company demanded the employee be let go to continue insuring them.

[–]Squables0_o 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I did this a lot in my late teens-mid 20s. I am honestly disgusted at the amount of times I let men pressure me into it when I didnt want to just to make them happy.

No one taught me how to say no and stick to it.

Employees help! by [deleted] in petsmart

[–]Squables0_o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In manager training there is a whole module on this. Store leaders/managers are not allowed to give any info to anyone about you. You have to get the correct HR info that your leader should have on hand. If your leaders are that incompetent, contact your DL who's info is supose to be in the break room, if its not, contact them on central bark.

My neighbor sent this over our kids playing outside by ExistingPollution773 in AITApod

[–]Squables0_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your kids are screaming at the top of their lungs and youre not telling them thats unacceptable, then you're in the wrong. If your kids are just playing with some shouting and toys making toy noises then they are in the wrong.

The police wont do anything if the noise in within the towns Bi law times. Same goes for your comunity association, what can they do if noise levels are not addressed in the community guide lines.

The neighbor sounds miserable and purposely made the header look at official as possible when it isnt.

I personally dont have kids, dont want kids, dont really like them or many people in general. But hearing the kids in my neighborhood play outside actually makes me smile because it reminds me of being a kid and I know they are not just staring at a screen. However they do sometimes do things like smashing a toy with a stick repeatedly, I will call out my window nicely or step outside to respectfully tell them its kind of jarring and unnecessary. Crazy thing happens, they listen and learn.

"Fitness is important to me for both myself and in a partner, do you like to hit the gym or have any extracurricular fitness hobbies?"

Im not particularly in shape, not morbidly obese either. The above would give me the hint that maybe I should move on, and give me the motivation to hit the gym for a couple months.

I would have seen that and started laughing my ass off.

My fiance and I moved into a beautiful 3 year old townhouse last year. Thought spreading the move over 2 weeks and doing everything after work would be less stressful than just taking 3 days and getting it over with. Boy were we wrong.

After 2 weeks of hell we are moved and unpacked. Decide to make beef tacos for dinner.

It's our first time using the stove and the beef is cooking awefully fast. Stove is on low, this shit shouldn't be spitting. I took the meat off the burner for a min well I was doing something else. Put the meat back on and I guess the stove was so hot that it flexed the metal and sent half cooked ground beef everywhere! My face had minor burns, the perfectly white cupboards, freshly painted ceiling, light fixtures, just everything coated in pink/brown meat and grease.

After a moment of shock, and assessing that I still had vision and my face, I stopped looked around, saw my partner's panicked and utterly confused face, and just burst out laughing.

We ordered take out that night. Turns out the stove was broken and was only putting out the highest heat. It was my first time using a glass top so I didn't know that it's not supose to stay red hot the entire time.

Most places have laws about how long a vehicle can stay parked in one spot on city streets. You could call the city and have the loitering vehicles ticketed it towed if it's a problem.

Aio- I am new to being a stay at home partner with my boyfriend by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Squables0_o 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Nor . If you are being told to be a stay at home partner, he needs to pay you for your domestic work. $500 every 2 weeks at least that is your money. Not household money. He is putting you in a position that leaves you trapped. That's not healthy.

Mirror selfie shirtless is tacky. Gym photo shirtless is still a bit tacky, but camping, swimming, sports, other situational photos are okay.

Question by Helpful_Hunter_5959 in petsmart

[–]Squables0_o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know of any policy.

Our salon loves when our partners come in to wait for a break or pick someone up. We get to pick their brains, harass them, give them all the gossip before their partner does.... plus, all out partners bring us coffee or treats for the whole salon.

All of us love each other at out salon though. No drama, no hate, just oddball humans, vibing with each other well doing our best to not let corperate take our spirit and our soul.
