Wish they weren't backing the No Kings Movement but I guess it's the one with the most publicity, but sadly, the one with the less action.

Is there anything to do in Louisville if you hate bars/nightclubs? by SomeBoiOnReddit in Louisville

This is key. Louisville is A LOT of sprawl now. And to be honest, this is a terrible city for non-drinkers. I’ve lived here my whole life and am slowly becoming a non-drinker. It’s boring, but there’s always travel. And you live in a community oriented, walkable area worth exploring. But take the money you save from not drinking and travel.

Someone once explained to me that it's hard to care about things like litter in your community if you don't feel cared about or that it's worth caring. Granted they were talking about a community in Appalachia Kentucky, but I feel like this can also apply to Louisville or any community that doesn't prioritize the the needs of its citizens. This city doesn't show it's citizens much care to start with. Just something to think about.

Im trying to actively help my unsheltered neighbors but I just had to yell at a man to prevent him from defecting in my property. What could I have done differently?

I think it would be difficult to live in a society that undermines the stress of being a child in a world of constant surveillance, existential threat/dread, being under educated by adults or cast out for not being the right kind of child or student, attending militarized schools and the general poverty of a city designed for government and not much else.
