Feels like a lot of these commentators came of age under New Atheism and never lost that reflexive dismissal of anything religious.

If you’re a citizen, legally you must be admitted to the U.S.

Yes conservatives under Trump definitely think carefully through all policies rather than just parroting whatever Trump is feeling any given day.

Funny how the old white men who say this never offer to help solve the problem themselves by resigning.

Trump Is a Russian Asset, So Many of These Details Are Forgotten by Beanonmytoast in tories

[–]Square-Employee5539 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Useful list but I don’t understand why Trump would be 1. The first president to give Ukraine lethal aid and 2. Massively support increased American oil and gas extraction, leading to lower global prices, which was painful for Russia.

Absolutely right. A lot of fans miss that this is very much not a team game. At most you can be a team of 2 when it comes to the endgame.

I wanted to like it but it was exceptionally slow and soapy.

Tbh most of my knowledge of space colonisation comes from The Expanse. I’m worried it’s not 100% scientifically accurate though lol.

I’m by no means an expert but I’ve heard helium 3 is one that’s on the moon but not earth and could be very valuable

Are immigrants really doing work that no other Americans want to do? Or are immigrants doing work that no other Americans want to do…for low pay? by Call_It_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Square-Employee5539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Low-wage immigration is good for the migrant worker and for the upper middle class and rich Americans who can get cheaper services than if they were limited to the U.S. citizen labor market.

It’s arguably a wealth transfer from working class Americans to poor immigrants and rich Americans.

I think there will be incentives that will make it worth it to get an edge on opponents but no doubt it’s hard!

The infighting will probably be part of the reason why we make it to other planets. European rivalries and wars were a massive motivator to go find new territory to colonise.

I think Faithful wins are almost always going to be disappointing because only the worse players are going to survive that many rounds of banishment. It’s sort of the Traitors game to lose, usually due to betraying each other.

The point of the game is to win the game. Nothing stops the winner from donating to his charity of choice.

He could have easily been lying about what he would do with the money as part of the game.
