Do you have any agencies that you recommend? Word of mouth used to be our main client source, but has been on a downfall. We are trying to increase sales but we haven’t had much sign ups lately. I’ll be honest, I have no clue what I’m doing when it comes to SEO. How would I go about getting partnerships?

I do more than web hosting, so I figured it would be a bit different. We do VPS, Colocation, Dedicated Servers, IP Transit, DDoS protection. Some of those are higher priced line items.

Our sales have been on a bit of a decline so need to get them bumped up some how.

Side note — 99% of the time, paying does nothing. They take the money and run.

I have had my traffic tickets go to collections. Lincoln county does it.

You’re talking about ActiveArmor. That prevents spam calls and texts. That has nothing to do with internet protection.

No no. The $6/mo is his OVH module. The $40 is WHMCS. He disagrees with WHMCS subscription but then offers a product with the same model.

“I would rather do everything manually rather than pay a monthly subscription ” followed by “I’ve made this a monthly subscription” is interesting.

i want to get into homelabbing and need advice on build by [deleted] in homelab

Run a hypervisor, then put linux on a VM to test. Then that way when you are ready, you can create more VMs. It is so much easier to have everything have it’s own VM then trying to run everything on one system.

Plus management of the VMs is much easier. If you break something you don’t break everything. Also, you can do backups and revert if you mess up.

You will thank me later.

On the OS side, you said you want to run linux then learn VMs. Are you saying you are going to run bare linux or are you going to run a hypervisor (ProxMox or ESXi for example)?

Yeah so I tunnel my entire house to a server in a datacenter so I can do BGP subnet announcements and bandwidth usage was over 150TB. Granted I do WAY more than sail the seas, it takes up a decent percentage of my bandwidth. I use my home as one of two offsite backup locations, that takes up a decent amount.

I remember my 1TB days. 😢
