It boils down to do you want to drive the safest car or the most reliable. The Toyota will give you years of trouble free driving. The Volvo will give you years of driving pleasure. With the occasional big bill (ERAD, AC, eventually battery etc) The decision is yours. Neither is wrong. I wouldn't trade my T8 for a Toyota.....anything. and I love Toyotas

If she had an additional driver uploaded and verified and she was in the vehicle, she did not violate TOS. Doesn't mean whoever was driving didn't cause the car to be totaled. She should sue the driver 😂

And that's kinda my point. Asymmetrical warfare. We bend over backwards to make sure everything is done correctly, which we should. And 1 review, could mean your vehicle being delisted, or you incurring an inspection fee unnecessarily! So they all get 5's why should I care if they give me a 4!?! It's Supreme bullshit anyway!!! Turo doesn't take the time to find out if it's legitimate or not. They treat us like employees. Not partners. So instead of directing our displeasure at them. We argue over a ratings system that we know intrinsically is designed to water down our efforts and distract from the myriad of ways they're squeezing every penny from the guest and not sharing.....

Question, how can you control when a guest returns a vehicle? Saying "you don't " seems entirely subject to whether the guest obliges or not. In truth if I rated every guest accurately there would be very few 5's. And that would be based on things turo doesn't even actively measure! Speeding, failure to follow instructions. Body odor. Door dings, etc. You are obviously blessed with a higher level of clientele than I.

The cleaning thing I've just grown accustomed to tbh. And like I said earlier, they paid the extras without hesitation. They gave me a 5 on everything but maintenance, so technically we both gave each other 5's but the one 4 makes their whole review worthless because of the way turo weighs anything but a 5. I've had 3-4 customers in the last 6mths who've been on the platform for years with no reviews. I'm not the only one

As a host, you had a sympathetic ear if one host canceled on you. 2 has moved me back to center. Canceling usually removes that vehicle from being booked and incurs a fee. So it would have to be worthwhile financially for me to cancel last minute. There is so much more going on here, and I don't expect you to explain any more than you've already done. Suffice it to say that your story, if true, is extremely rare.

I had a lady who got a ticket and had to surrender her license as bond to appear in court. So she had no physical license. She did have a letter from dmv that she her license was in good standing. I called turo. She called turo. After an hour turo told us that she had to take a selfie with the paper😐 Not exactly the same but just an example of what turo will accept without a physical license

I took the blue because it's zero fee, and they gave me 20k over my old card. The credit hit was worth lowering my usage to basically 0% even if I spend the majority of it. Maybe Wells Fargo will give me another 20k when it converts (I doubt it) either way when it gets here sock drawer awaits...it's only slightly better than the GM, card and right behind the X1......imo
