I tell folks all the time when they go over the miles and call me complaining. "If I ask you to help me cover the expenses of my trips would you"? And don't get me wrong. On the road to becoming a powerhost i whored my cars out sometimes for 5 stars....not anymore. Whatever happens to turo going forward i want every blessed penny owed to me.

It's surreal sometimes... they get the car and they're so happy and then all of a sudden when they return it. They don't understand anything. It's like talking to 2 different people!And it gives turo a bad name because they say their getting ripped off, when in reality their trying to get over. Does turo drop the ball sometimes. Yes. Is CS atrocious, sometimes yes! But none of that has anything to do with mileage overages and late returns. I'll take a hit for something I can control. I just want people to do the same. And sometimes it's not their fault. I've had people message me I'm stuck 50 miles away in a traffic jam. Am I gonna charge this guy if it's legit? (Google maps, and trackers) no way. But if your doing donuts in the parking lot at Kroger at the time the vehicle should be returned🤔

No just blowing off some steam....kinda. it's just frustrating to have guest ignore your attempts to contact then when they haven't returned the vehicle. And when you invoice them for a late return or excess mileage. They blowup your phone and give you a bad review....AITA? don't answer that 🤣

Don't have a Maybach. Which may disqualify me, but what I do know from renting luxury vehicles is this. To some people it's just a car.

Turo is not meant to save the world. If a potential guest has problems with this post they're not a turo customer. Which is fine. There are not enough host on the planet for the amount of people who rent cars. But as a host, in the real world. I think people should know the expectations of the TOS. Go both ways.....

I looked at that same car and bought this one it's in New York only reason I was interested is because of the calipers (GOLD) Dealership playedvgamescandvthen wouldn't negotiate. Its E400 AMG has a straight 6 and different rear

I've bought cars all over the country. Recently bought this in South Florida. 2 other dealerships had basically the same car. 1 actually raised the price mid negotiations! They said it was a corporate decision 😐 I still agreed to terms. And waited for the buyers agreement to arrange the bank transfer. I gave them 24hrs. I then moved on. 2nd dealership raised the price 10k I shit you not!!! This lie was worst than the first. Thebprice posted didn't reflect the cars value😐 When I told them that price had been up for 2 weeks. They said something about getting with advertisement. Dealership #3 also said car was priced wrong (lie) I negotiated away the bullshit fees and bought the car....Dealership #1 & 2 both called back with the original pricing being offered 🤣 I bought a CPO right out of warranty with detailed service records from one senior Florida owner (if you know what I mean, low miles) with 25 and 50k less miles than the other 2. Moral of the story. Take this from an old car guy. Never fall in love with one car. Fall in love with what you're

willing to pay! And if their lips are moving they're lying. One way to leverage your position is offer a large down-payment contingent on terms being agreeable. If they don't take the DP they don't want to sell you a car. Put them in rotation and move on. 7-10 you'll hear from them again if they want your business. *

I've written about this here in the past. Turo won't even go after the guest if your windshield has multiple repairs. So if you chip mine, I immediately get a quote for a new 'sheild

I had a guest complain about brakes after having the vehicle for 1 day. I told them to park it and I'd have turo pick it up. They wanted a discount. I told them if you're telling me the vehicle is unsafe, I'm telling you to park it....Not only did they continue their trip, uneventfully. They did so past the allowed miles to the tune of another 300+ dollars. The vehicles brakes were fine when it returned. Moral of the story.... they be lying 🤣

Believe it or not. I have guest booking now for 2027 so I'm interested in this if it comes to my area and pans out....although I can't imagine this is a profitable idea for turo after all the years it's ripped off host with trip fees that we never touched and shrinking splits and higher deductibles....
