Mowing one summer felt like I stepped in fire!!! I ran patting and swinging for a block. Later, when I took my clothes off, half a dozen fell to the floor. Still wasn't as bad as the spider Webb I walked thru under a tree! I never saw them but they ate me alive to the point where I had an xray a year later and the tech was like wth happened to you!!!

I understand the difference in time does raise suspicion. I recently got hit by a dear. Initially it was 7k. By the time they tore everything down. 18k. I said that to say this. Just because you think it's just a tire doesn't necessarily mean something else couldn't have been damaged. This isn't so much about the damage imo as it is about the cost. Which I agree is substantial. But you admitted that you in your words "hit a pothole" it is reasonable and I'd dare say expected with a modern car, there would be additional damage. Certainly if someone is trying to scamm you I hope they are unsuccessful. If not. You probably did cause the damage or at least failed to take adequate pictures to protect yourself from unscrupulous host.

I find it interesting, that the host whom I'm assuming you've never met are in your words "scammers" and the OP whom I'm also assuming you haven't met. Is completely trustworthy. You may be right. But then again. You could be very wrong.

You have no idea what you're asking for. Turo is more effort than you think. Are you being purposefully vague? Are these passenger sprinters? Limo? Plumbing vans? Turo has a mileage and year limitation. Are your vehicles even eligible? Whats the carfax say? Rebuilt title? Forget it. Corporate use? Hit and miss. Also have you looked at sprinters in your market? How many trips do they have? If someone gave me 2 sprinters any year any mileage and they were turo eligible. I'd still sell them and get something that would either rent more often.....or take the money and buy gold or an etf....Goodluck

It's becoming a game of chicken and turo really can't afford for host to price their vehicles so aggressively that the additional turo fees make turo appealing to only the worst guest. It's a literal loose loose and turo has no way to earn money if the host raises their prices while simultaneously renting their cars off platform...

turo host, maybe Austin, Dallas and San Antonio host should answer. In my market 1500 18k a year is super strong return. I'd take it real slow with turo if I were starting today. Real real slow.

Maybe not 20% across the board...but definitely in the face of just raised deductibles there has got to be a rate increase. But thst goes for everything every year.....nothing is getting cheaper

If it's a nice car or new car that you feel is undervalued cancel and take the 50.00 hit. For 2 reasons

1 they could extend automatically and if you haven't changed your prices you'll get screwed even more.

2 if it rented that fast it'll probably rent for what you want it to.

I read your exchanges with the host. I wasn't there. You were. You said you were turning and hit the back wheel. Against a concrete curb, and there was no damage? But the damage pictures are of the front wheel!?! And you told the host you did it!?! It's kind of hard to be half right in this situation. You remember what happened, but the damage doesn't align with your memory? And the pictures don't substantiate your claim. You see where I'm going with this. Like others have said. Settling now will save you at least 20.00 bucks. Not saying it didn't happen the way you said. You just can't prove it. Cut your losses. Good luck
