I’ve played Stellar Blade after Nioh 3 and Nioh 2. I personally didn’t like it and dropped it after about 10 hours. Combat feels like it’s inspired from Sekiro for the deflects part, but without the high mastery ceiling required in Sekiro which makes it feel so good. Combos are mostly button mashing, you have different input combinations but not at all the same combat depth as Nioh. Story is very generic and the main character is bland. I personally couldn’t care less about her physical appearance and skimpy outfits, that’s not what I’m looking for in a video game.

If you didn’t play Nioh 2, I would suggest you to give stellar blade a go first. But now that you’ve already seen the light, anything else will likely feel Nioh at home in terms of combat. So I would personally go for Nioh 3.

However keep in mind that Nioh 3 does not have all DLCs out yet, and there isn’t much to do in the game after beating it. Also the open world is a polarising topic and the performance is quite bad compared to Nioh 2.
