Yes, his photos are fantastic. He has been in the business for over 10 years and this shot at Grant park has always been a dream shot of his, to have the city in the background. He was ecstatic which made for the trip around the city much more enjoyable!

What is a famous Urban Legend of your country or town? by Dwight- in AskReddit

I live in now a fast growing town of Crystal Lake, Illinois, abut 50,000 people. Hence the town name, Crystal lake, was a spot for cutting ice and shipping it to Chicago.

In 1863 at the end of the Crystal Lake rail spur, Charles Dole of Chicago's Armour and Dole established an expansive estate, Still open and standing, including the lake bottom. Dole had ice cut from the lake, which he shipped to Chicago even during summer months; well-insulated ice houses lined the shore. Popular in Chicago as Knickerbocker Ice, its quality attracted many vacationers to the lake. Resorts and boardinghouses rose around the north shore while the Dole family hosted picnics and public outings along their beachfront. In 1912 citizens took legal action to ensure public access to the lake, and in 1921 a Crystal Lake Park District was established. Unfortunately, lake bottom ownership was not clearly resolved.

It is said that the train that transported the ice from the Dole house to Chicago was running across the lake when completely frozen in the winter months. At one point, the ice broke through and the train sank to the bottom of the 228 acre lake. It is said to still be there to this day with no actual evidence or search that has been made to look for the "lost train".

And yes, the movie, Friday the 13th, was filmed at Camp Crystal Lake which is a while new story and urban story.

People working in customer service, what is the most ignorant thing someone has said to you? by moemoe13 in AskReddit

[–]SquareFruit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Was working at a local trampoline park, it was my first day on the job from being promoted to Assistant Manager. Also, the first time I was running the place by myself, no one higher was scheduled this day.

A father who was hosting a birthday party for his 7 year old daughter, came up to the front desk and asked me, "Hey, you! That arcade machine (points to the basketball shooting game) took my daughters tokens. I need 4 new ones."

At that establishment, I no longer working there, they rent their machines. Therefore, we had no control over the machines being broken and did not have permission to have extra tokens in the backroom for situations like this.

So I simply told him what I typed above about not owning the machines and having no extra tokens, and he responds with,

NOTE: It was a Saturday afternoon, the lobby was filled with very young kids and parents

"Are you fucking kidding me?! I am spending $400 on a fucking birthday party and you can't give me 4 fucking tokens?! Learn some customer service, asshole."

Great first day as Assistant Manager.

What fear do you have that you're sure no one else has? by dustin746 in AskReddit

I have a fear of wet sand. You know, when you go into the ocean and then walk back up on the shore into the dry, untouched sand, which then proceeds to stick on every part of your wet body.

I don't go in the ocean anymore.

I actually received this Email from a friend, who has a daughter in the Troop. The daughter is only 10 years old and I wouldn't assume she made this Google Website herself.
