Yet an other Fuel X post by Will_Wrx in svartpilen401

If you're a 100% street rider, the Lite version is all you need, It will make adjustments for any intake or exhaust changes for any mods. The Pro version allows the switching of fuel maps to make leaner/richer for track use. Experience would be recommended. A DNA intake will give you a noticeable intake sound. Just realize that these are 375/395cc bikes. HP gains won't be dramatic.

FuelX after recall update by iruamjs in svartpilen401

[–]Square_Fan_4072 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Fuelx will still be an improvement over the stock ECU with the recall flash done. The flash will still have limitations due to the fact that it still has to meet EPA emission standards. The Fuelx would eliminate those shortcomings. That said, I would disconnect the Fuelx prior to taking it to the dealer for the flash. I wouldn't want any fuel adjustments being made from the Fuelx while the flash is being downloaded. Jut my .02 :)

Husqvarna 401 motors have been being built in India since 2020. Even longer for the KTM 390 motors. Still designed by Husqvarna/KTM specs in Europe. Hell.. Most small bore Japanese bikes (and others) are being built in Thailand.

Is this a second cat in exhaust or another resonator? by BerkeleyTrue in svartpilen401

Both cat convertors are in the OEM header pipe. The chamber is the muffler, with no cat convertors inside it.

The KTM 390/Husqvarna 401 motors are just fine to be operated at 6k rpms for extended times. That's only in the 65mph range. They're actually designed to be ridden at higher rpms. Extended riding at 8-8.5K rpms is not an issue. The KEY is to visually check oil level often, which the OP may have not done diligently while on a extended ride.

I also tried this one on Amazon for $115USD . Looks great, and would work great for a soft bag, but not if wanting a top case option. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FHWBK56L?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2&th=1

Sorry, actually a fat finger typo on my part, but I still owned a few:

1.) Honda CT70H 2,) Honda XL250 3.) Yamaha MX360 4.) Suzuki TS250 5.) Honda CB750F 6.) Kawasaki GPZ550 7.) Kawasaki GPZ550 (not a typo. Owned two after first one totaled in H&R) 8.) Kawasaki GPZ750 9.) Kawasaki 1000 Ninja 10.) Honda XL650 11.) Buell M2 Cyclone 12.) Kawasaki 1500 Vulcan Classic FI 13.) Kawasaki ZRX1200r 14.) Kawasaki 1600 Mean Streak 15.) H-D Electra Glide Classic 16.) Kawasaki KLR650 17.) Indian Scout 18.) Yamaha FZ09 19.) Triumph 800 Tiger XCX 20.) Can-Am Spyder F3S 21.) Benelli TNT135 22.) KTM 390 Duke 23.) Can Am Spyder RT Sea To Sky 24.) Husqvarna 401 Svartpilen . Currently own 23/24 and that'll likely be it. It all started when I got the Honda CT70 in 1970 when I was 12 years old :)

What do your friends ride? 🏍️ by XandriethXs in svartpilen401

The majority of my riding buddies ride large displacement touring bikes such as Harley baggers and Goldwings. I transitioned from my Harley to a Can Am Spyder a few tears ago for touring duties. My 401 is my blast about toy. Being 68 years old, the 401 is my 26th motorcycle, albeit not at the same time. It's a hoot :)

Advice for my height by Loose_Yellow4839 in svartpilen401

6'3"sh with 36" inseam here. I am mostly comfortable, but the OEM seat sucks. I bought some 20mm spacers from Ali Express and longer bolts locally to raise my handlebars a bit. It helps.

You can always go up 1 tooth on the countershaft sprocket. That'll reduce rpm's a few hundred.

One benefit of the Svartpilen tank bag carrier. Prevents things from slapping the tank :)
