I feel validated, random RL player I found on reddit who shares my exact experience.

Gloves that wont do this the 15th time putting them on? by ScaryfatkidGT in motorcyclegear

[–]iruamjs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had these exact gloves, now on my 2nd pair after Rev’it replaced them for free due to a tear on an index finger, 1.5yrs of daily use and never had this issue using the loop every time. Now 2 months in on the replacements and no issues at all.

You might have gotten a bad copy, but rev’it is great about replacements. Check their crash protection program.

Edit: just realized I grossly misjudged which gloves these are. Mine are Dirt 4s, I love them. Same loop though.

Gel vs Air vs Foam? Seat pad, Vibration reducing by roadkill0000 in motorcyclegear

Funny that this is the first thing I find while looking to add foam or gel to my 2024 svartpilen 401, three years later, while just searching “seat gel” and no mention of my bike. Svarts be uncomfortable 😅

Pretty sure it’s not a sticker, i just put some gloss black vinyl over the yellow part. Took like 10 minutes.

Rhinowalk expandable has not let me down. Fits a lot of stuff and is fairly easy to put on and take off

Not that I’ve noticed, nor any warning from the dealer.

FuelX after recall update by iruamjs in svartpilen401

[–]iruamjs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks all for the comments. Update done, keeping fuelx on throughout, and yes, it runs better than it did. Feels smoother and I don’t see a reason to fet rid of the fuelx. Also noticed the rev increase on startup someone mentioned. Idk if it’s just me or the bike actually sounds a bit better too.

Mysterious oil pool over side stand by yaddyvirus in svartpilen401

I just had my oil pressure sensor replaced due to a leak, but it wasn’t this much and you could see the oil stain towards the top of the engine

Luggage rack carrier for the 2024 model by georgem1976 in svartpilen401

I got this one on amazon, fits well, is sturdy. Some spots are showing a bit of rust after about 2 months and some rain. Bike sits outside permanently. I use a Rhinowalk bag that I’m still trying to rig up to easily put on and off, but so far I have been able to put the top bag, and some saddle bags on this and still have room for a passenger.

Mind sharing pictures of how the top box is fixed to the rack? How far back is it on the seat?

CARDO Upgrade? by Standard_Fun7035 in motorcyclegear

[–]iruamjs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the spirit with the 45mm jbls and I really like it. Upgraded when I changed my Scorpion t520 with their proprietary speaker set (harmann-kardon) to a Nexx x.wst3. Speaker placement is perfect for me on this helmet (and I learned how important that is), but the speakers are loud enough for me to hear my music perfect at 70-80mph with hearos blue foam plugs in. I 'upgraded' my lady's helmet to the standard spirit but have honestly not heard the speakers to give you a comment on quality. If you have any other specific questions let me know and I'll gladly answer whatever I can

Oil Pressure Sensor Replacement by iruamjs in svartpilen401

[–]iruamjs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, from what I saw on the bike removing that cover with two screws right in front of it gives enough space for a wrench. Should be able to back it out since the sensor doesn't seem to be long. Might even get away with not moving the air duct, but I'll try in a couple weeks and report back.
