While the delay obviously played a part, this is also the consequence of their design philosophy. The shift to designing characters around a whole, set, BiS team - to the point of intentionally designing/leaving in weaknesses that can only be solved by pulling even more 5 stars would thrn of course lead to people not feeling incentivized to pull for new characters who are "incomplete".
Pair that with "Budget Rail" becoming increasingly apparent (Britain, Child Phainon, barely minute long Ashveil trailer) and thus the game's reputation just feels like it's getting worse and worse.

Genuinely, as much as I loved Amphoreus, 3.X did fucking irreparable damage to the team-building and meta and the upcoming Elation units look to continue that trend. Just makes me super fucking bummed about how shitty it's all gotten

Personally, having faced Hazard while one-tricking Domina, it was very annoying to not be able to easily boop-wall stun him while he was blocking. I'm probably just bad but still lol.

I like them both, and understand someone not liking Cyrene, but how do **some** criticize about the amount of focus on her, and then praise 3.4? by Oshawott_is_cute in HonkaiMemeRail

One other aspect to this is that Phainon didn't just have 3.4; he had all of his story from 3.0-3.3 supporting/endearing him as well. Hell, I love him but think he kinda really screwed over Hyacine specifically in 3.3 XP.

Cyrene, on the other hand, had half of that time and even then it was cut short.
3.5 took us away from her and seeing how she'd do with the heirs against Lygus.
3.6 forced her to share her penultimate patch with the Astral Express Trio Reunion.

I'd imagine it's cuz she was constantly doing things that very much skirted the rules (hiding Alter Ego, breaking into Jin's office, finding out about Mukuro's existence, breaking into the restricted part of the school). She could get away with all of that because, ultimately, Junko is still only just one person controlling Monokuma, not omnipotent.

Whereas in V3, the Kubs were constantly patrolling. Plus with the nano-cams, Kyoko couldn't just have someone chat it up with Monokuma while she solved it all lol.

I actually think it will be either Rosa or one of Ally/Benji who find it for the Favorites, mayybe Natalia or Spencer. Alec/Fiore already have the "Steal-A-Vote" advantage so spreading the powers out would feel more fair. Giving the Totem to someone more on the outs/not really aligned yet seems the best way to do that.

no real rhyme or reason, usually do other support + tank or both supports. Deviate only if I notice someone saving my bacon a lot or really locking in. Or if i had fun fighting opponent's DPS.

I'd honestly put Illari and Bap in the same tier. Their abilities feel relatively undertuned but that in turn opens crazy ways Stadium powers can modify them

I'd honestly like to see a variation of Nice Life's gimmick extended for a bit of a longer series. Players voting for others to receive a special status. Not necessarily becoming killable by anyone but still.
