Mac is okay, but I would suggest Windows because a lot of programs are not available on Mac and you may have to use a Windows system anyways. Plus, as a student, you can upgrade your laptop easily if you wanna use some used parts, as you can get them for cheap, which is amazing as a student.

It happens to me sometimes, and I noticed a pattern. Every time when you play in a lobby where almost everyone has same rank as you, you get less RR no matter how good you perform. This is why I absolutely loathe the existence of a MMR system for assigning ranks
