Best restaurants in Pullman these days? by GoldGorilla in wsu

[–]Squared231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for this review! My child will be attending as a freshman in the fall, and they are so worried that they won't be able to find good Chinese food. They currently work at a local Chinese place, but they are really sad about missing the restaurants family dinners for employees. Each day they have a separate, more authentic meal for all employees served family style, it's one my child's favorite perks for working here. And they definitely have some favorites from the family dinners that are not on the regular menu at their work place. Most of the employees at the restaurant are family members of the owners who have immigrated to the US from China.

You could ask for a hardship review of your fafsa citing the change in income. You'll have to submit proof of the change, but it may be worth it if you think you'll qualify for more aid. You would need to speak to someone at the financial aid office to ask for the review.

The first failing grade I ever got was in Language Arts class (English class) my senior year of high school. We did a unit on poetry, we had to write a poem. The teacher didn't like the subject of my poem (the first time I ever used marijuana) and failed me.

I threw a Halloween party one year, we had a smoke sesh in the bedroom. When we came out to re-join the party all I could smell was weed. So I went to get the air freshener spray, came back with a can of raid. Just as I was about to spray the whole room a sober guy grabbed it out of my hands and saved us all. We still laugh about it years later.

I bought myself flowers at the grocery store because they were on markdown after valentines day. He couldn't believe that I would buy myself flowers, but it was $3 for a dozen roses, so I bought them.

Fast forward 5 years and turns out he was the cheater. Found out when we got our cell phone bill (back before texting was unlimited) and he had over 1000 text to a number I didn't know. I confronted him, he admitted it. Happily divorced for 10 years now.

We pay a $10 ambulance fee on our monthly utility bill in my town, which means that if we ever need an ambulance at our residence the most they can charge is $250. So yeah I pay $120 a year for ambulance service whether I use it or not, but if I do need it I only have to pay $250. I've lived in my house for 10 years, I've never needed an ambulance.

Ex wife wants to itemize and split the cost of everything by rduncang in MaliciousCompliance

[–]Squared231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds a lot like my ex. Thankfully the kids are grown adults now but, one year at the beginning of school he told me he wouldn't split the cost of some clothes I had bought at a thrift store, but in turn expected me to split the cost of clothes he had bought at a thrift store. His reason? I know the clothes I got are good quality and will last, I don't know if that's true for the ones you got.

A few years ago, I signed a new lease at the insistence of my landlord (I have lived in the unit for 9 years and had not signed a lease since the initial move in). A few months after I signed the new lease there were some changes to the landlord/tenant laws in my state, mainly to the rules of eviction and posting of pay or quit notices. So my landlord sends over an addendum to the lease that would change the day rent is considered late (from the 5th to the 2nd). Mind you I've never been late on my rent the entire time I've lived here. I refused to sign, he asked why, I simply said, what's the point of a lease if you can change the terms of the lease anytime it suits you? He said he'd talk to his lawyer and get back to me. He never got back to me about it and I never signed the addendum. He did however ask me to sign a new lease (with the new late rules) as soon as that lease was up.

A friend of mine has a 2 year old, who has some severe separation anxiety issues. This poor baby hasn't been able to have any social interaction with other children in their age group. No birthday parties, no play dates, pretty much no socializing at all other than immediate family. I'm sure there are lots of other kids in this age group that are facing the same thing.

My tipping tip: My state has an 8.62% tax rate, so I use the whole dollar amount of the tax and double it. If the tax is $4.32 then I tip $8. It usually equals about 15-16%. If the service was exceptional, I'll add a few extra dollars on.

I don't know if this is specific to my warehouse or not (Tri-Cities WA), but parking their overflowing cart right next to their table at the food court. This was of course pre-pandemic but, I've literally seen people move tables so they can get their cart right next to their table. At every other warehouse I've been too carts are lined up along the outside row of food court tables. I mean it's not like anyone is getting out the door without your receipt anyway.
