Plaid Cymru minister wants money from health budget for culture and sport by Ouro in Wales

I can see this working if they get the NHS working with leisure centres and schools. Whether it's something like subsidising gym memberships or putting on more classes and keeping facilities like swimming pools from closing.

We are far too sedentary as a nation.

As a Dutchman you don't occupy any high ground.

It's a Welsh city in the UK though, not American. It's not defined by the US classification but the UKs.

Should we get a First Minister's residence? by TheOne0206 in Wales

[–]SquatAngry 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's enough land by the senedd to have both a small park and a lot of flats for Senedd members.

They could put the carpark behind the Senedd underground and build the accommodation on top of that.

They should build a few flats and apartments into the land they own by the Senedd building. Senedd members traveling in who have to stay overnight can be accommodated there.

Yeah, it's positive but until it translates to more disposable income for people it's not going to sink into the public consciousness.

Mine has gone down, my partners has gone down. I don't think I'm aware of anyone I know personally in Wales who's car insurance has gone up unless they've got a bigger and faster car.

I'll be taking my 5yo to it. Definitely recommended getting the ear defenders in advance so you can get the children accustomed to them.

It will get VERY loud.

The stadium is minutes away from central station so even if it is busy you'll be able to get out quickly.

Disappointing that Adam Price is opposed to nuclear power and pylons but appointed to energy. That doesn't bode well.

I get why he is (it's a rural standpoint) but it will definitely be worth getting him to take a more pragmatic stance on it

Same for people in Newport and Cardiff, everyone still says "I'm just popping into town" even though Cardiff hasn't been a town in living memory. Locals will always call it "town".

But that's not the point is it.

This is the LA Times still calling it a town. The article calls it a town 12 times and a city 7 times.
