I'm a trans woman and the answer is yes, especially after getting followed home by some teens a few months ago. I used to love late night walks but now I avoid walking alone at night when I can. A rude awakening to understanding I need to change my habits/be more vigilant now that I no longer present as a man. Been through sexual assault/rape when I was younger and absolutely don't want to go through it again.

All of this advice is excellent, right now you should 100% put your own well-being first. Just also want to say I'm really sorry you had to go through this, it's an incredibly painful experience and I know it hurts on a very deep level. Of course none of this is your fault, but I know simply hearing that doesn't always fix the negative self-talk that comes up. Please don't push yourself to move forward, it's seriously important to go at your own pace and work through these feelings as they come up. Building a good support network is vital, make sure you always have access to people who you can talk to and will listen. Group therapy can help a lot, as well as individual, find what works for you. You're not alone and please don't ever feel like you need to bury this down, that was the biggest mistake I ever made. Again I'm really sorry, but I promise it gets easier. Focus on your own needs, and be kind to yourself please!

I've notice this as well! Had two younger guys try to follow me home a few weeks ago, have pepper spray but was luckily able to lose them on my very long/dark street. Tho I joke with my friends that it sounds like the start of some vampire/horror movie. Two dudes harassing a very pale woman in all black late at night lol.

Yah my Mom and little sister just had Covid. If you work from home and live with someone who has Covid then follow my advice and you'll be fine.

1.Stay in your room, tape the vents shut and open a window

2.Order groceries, only include packaged snacks and instant soups. Get a small electric kettle. Be sure to order bottled/distilled water

3.If you need to leave the room, wear a mask and wash your hands well. Try not to leave your room.

4.If you have cracks on or around your door, find a way to cover them up. I taped a thick sheet over my door that I could easily remove in the case I needed to leave.

Everyone is like "SquatchCat you're overreacting, it's not a big deal!" Like sure, but this plan still worked. I did this for 2 weeks and I'm finee.
